I'm 63. Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes." Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I'm willing to help.
But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off home, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them with their own money.

I'm tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood Entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of Zimbabwe, the freedom of the press of China, the crime and violence of Mexico, the tolerance for Christian people of Iran, and the freedom of speech of Venezuela.

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that "race doesn't matter" in the post-racial world of Obama, when it's all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of U.S. Senators from Illinois.

I think it's very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less arrogantly of an all-knowing government.

I'm tired of a news media that thinks Bush's fund-raising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama's, at triple the cost, were wonderful; that thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress; that picked over every line of Bush's military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his; that slammed Palin, with two years as governor, for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as senator as potentially the best president ever. Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News? Get a clue. I didn't vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and mandrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America, while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore's, and if you're greener than Gore, you're green enough.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off?...I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I'm tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.

I'm tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren't working, but are living on welfare or crime. What's next? Calling drug dealers, "Undocumented Pharmacists"? And, no, I'm not against Hispanics. Most of them are Catholic, and it's been a few hundred years since Catholics wanted to kill me for my religion. I'm willing to fast track for citizenship any Hispanic person, who can speak English, doesn't have a criminal record and who is self-supporting without family on welfare, or who serves honorably for three years in our military.... Those are the citizens we need.

I'm tired of latte liberals and journalists, who would never wear the uniform of the Republic themselves, or let their entitlement-handicapped kids near a recruiting station, trashing our military. They and their kids can sit at home, never having to make split-second decisions under life and death circumstances, and bad mouth better people than themselves. Do bad things happen in war? You bet. Do our troops sometimes misbehave? Sure. Does this compare with the atrocities that were the policy of our enemies for the last fifty years and still are? Not even close. So here's the deal. I'll let myself be subjected to all the humiliation and abuse that was heaped on terrorists at Abu Ghraib or Gitmo, and the critics can let themselves be subject to captivity by the Muslims, who tortured and beheaded Daniel Pearl in Pakistan, or the Muslims who tortured and murdered Marine Lt. Col. William Higgins in Lebanon, or the Muslims who ran the blood-spattered Al Qaeda torture rooms our troops found in Iraq, or the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia, because the girls were Christian. Then we'll compare notes. British and American soldiers are the only troops in history that civilians came to for help and handouts, instead of hiding from in fear.

I'm tired of people telling me that their party has a corner on virtue and the other party has a corner on corruption. Read the papers; bums are bipartisan. And I'm tired of people telling me we need bipartisanship. I live in Illinois , where the "Illinois Combine" of Democrats has worked to loot the public for years. Not to mention the tax cheats in Obama's cabinet.

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

Speaking of poor, I'm tired of hearing people with air-conditioned homes, color TVs and two cars called poor. The majority of Americans didn't have that in 1970, but we didn't know we were "poor." The poverty pimps have to keep changing the definition of poor to keep the dollars flowing.

I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter.

One sunny day in late January 2013 an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue, where he'd been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to the U.S. Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and meet with President Obama." The Marine looked at the man and said, "Sir, Mr. Obama is no longer president and no longer resides here."
The old man said, "Okay," and walked away.
The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Obama."
The Marine again told the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Obama is no longer president and no longer resides here."
The man thanked him and, again, just walked away.
The third day, the same man once again approached the White House and spoke to the same U.S. Marine, saying, "I would like to go in and meet with President Obama."
The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you have come here asking to speak to Mr. Obama. I've told you already that Mr. Obama is no longer the president and no longer resides here. Don't you understand?"
The old man looked at the Marine and said, "Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it."

The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "See you tomorrow, sir."

A Real American Hero...

Courage
You're a 19 year old kid.
You're critically wounded and dying in the jungle somewhere in the Central Highlands of Viet Nam .
It's November 11, 1967.
LZ (landing zone) X-ray.
Your unit is outnumbered 8-1 and the enemy fire is so intense, from 100 yards away, that your CO (commanding officer) has ordered the MediVac helicopters to stop coming in.
You're lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns and you know you're not getting out.
Your family is half way around the world, 12,000 miles away, and you'll never see them again.
As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day.
Then - over the machine gun noise - you faintly hear that sound of a helicopter.
You look up to see a Huey coming in. But ... It doesn't seem real because no Medi-Vac markings are on it.
Captain Ed Freeman is coming in for you.
He's not Medi-Vac so it's not his job, but he heard the radio call and decided he's flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire anyway.
Even after the Medi-Vacs were ordered not to come.
He's coming anyway.
And he drops it in and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 3 of you at a time on board.
Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire to the doctors and nurses and safety.
And, he kept coming back!! 13 more times!! Until all the wounded were out. No one knew until the mission was over that the Captain had been hit 4 times in the legs and left arm.
He took 29 of you and your buddies out that day. Some would not have made it without the Captain and his Huey.
Medal of Honor Recipient, Captain Ed Freeman, United States Air Force, died last Wednesday at the age of 70, in Boise , Idaho .
May God Rest His Soul.
I bet you didn't hear about this hero's passing, but we've sure seen a whole bunch about Michael Jackson and Tiger Woods.

A ‘Profile In Courage’ the TSA Is Not.

After the thankfully unsuccessful terrorist activities of the underwear bomber in an airplane over Detroit last Christmas Day, discussion resumed regarding the use of the full body scanner at American international airports. This is a highly sensitive machine that, when used for security purposes, displays the body in its full naked glory.

It was said, after the actions on December 25th by Mr. Mutallab, that this process would have been the only way to have detected the particular technique of terror the young Nigerian was attempting to import into America. Then along comes the perpetually zany Council of American-Islamic Relations. In its infinite wisdom, this group disclosed their intention to sue the United States of America to prevent the aforementioned body scanner from being used on Muslim men and women.

For religious reasons, don’t you know?

In the parallel universe where reside the left and their radical Islamic friends, it makes perfect sense that the only machine that can detect a certain, and most destructive kind of explosive, that has been used exclusively by Islamic terrorists since 2001, is now able to be used with any traveler using American international airports, except, of course, Muslim persons. These Muslim individuals are, as every sane person acknowledges, the ACTUAL REASON we have to put every air traveler through the excruciating security measures that are now in place.

To prevent the further terrorist actions of Muslim terrorists is, in fact, the whole point of the exercise.

The TSA, when confronted by CAIR in this regard, immediately capitulated, thus giving in in the face of yet another Islamic threat. Simultaneously, the TSA agreed to instruct its security staff, in enforcing the same tortuous security measures for everyone but Muslims, to ‘pat down’ Muslim men and women, with the proviso, of course, that only same gender ‘pat downs’ would be permitted for our Muslim brethren.

So, to be sure you understand, this is the deal.

Every American has to go through a humiliating and time consuming hell every time any one of us has to fly anywhere in the country, or the world. This nightmare is due strictly to the actions of Islamic terrorists. Now, due to the Obama-determined decision of certain of our non-elected bureaucrats, we are now excepting Islamists, and only Islamists – THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE SWORN TO ANNIHILATE AMERICA – from being forced to submit the examination of this machine that is the only thing that can detect certain terrorist explosives. In other words, the organization created to protect the American traveling public is now, under the Obama Administration, being prevented from doing so due to reasons of politically correct religious (again, addressed only to the world of Islam) sensitivity.

What kind of fantasy world is the Obama Administration living in? Does anyone in his Administration remember what happened on September 11, 2001? Has anyone in this ridiculous excuse for a Presidential Administration heard the repeated assurances from the Muslim world that we will either be converted to Islam by their jihad or die?

‘Explosive-wired Islamofascists’ is not a sensitivity issue – it is an act of war. It is an act of war against the United States of America and its innocent citizenry, no matter what religion. Tender feelings toward our Muslim brethren should not be taken into account when figuring out how best to protect us. The application of their faith when in our country should be very low on the list of what is significant to our nation, and if they don’t like that, they can immediately return to the nations where it is of significance. In America, they should understand, each religion is equal to the other; no particular religion is above another.

A current popular phrase might be applied in this instance: Islam, this is America. The land of the free. Deal with it.

It would be interesting to know whether the Obama Administration has instructed members of his Administration to make any accommodations for members of the Christian religion alert to members of the Obama Administration: the religion that FOUNDED OUR NATION in air travel? Perhaps, for Judaism, second alert to members of the Obama Administration: another very important religion found in the United States of America?

The answer would seem to be no.

It is wondered, therefore, if the Obama Administration and its member leftists ever intend to acknowledge the truth about the world of Islam, the founder of terrorism throughout the world.

Barack Hussein Obama can go on and on about how wonderful is the world of Islam. How magnificent and tolerant is their religion; how beautiful is their handwriting, (a subject not thought to be significant in 21st Century America by Obama Administration educators); how extraordinary is their Algebra, yet another subject of American education considered unimportant by current Obama educators, (African-American Studies; Gay, Lesbian and Transgender Studies; etc., being of much greater significance in the Obamaworld of educating our children) and how peaceful, and desirous of peace, are their people. And from where, almost verbatim from various Obama speeches, do these lovely words come?

Fantasyland.

Like it or not, the Muslim world of the 21st century has nothing to do with the Magical Mystery Tour that Barack Hussein Obama and his followers have chosen to present as the current Muslim world. Obama and his acolytes can create beautiful and false words around the ‘religion of peace,’ and assume people will believe these lies. Hollywood and whoever can create physical fantasies about how gorgeous and sensitive Muslims were and are; or how brilliant, intellectually, scientifically and politically, Muslims were and are, or what victims they are and have been through the centuries, because, of course, of the actions of the Great Satan, (us) with Obama always on the ready to apologize for whatever of our transgressions of which the aggrieved (Muslims) complain. It is, as you know, always our fault. .

The truth about the world of Islam is the opposite.

The fact is that the Muslim extremist world of the 21st century is a nasty, grubby, illiterate but tech-savvy, hate-filled world of duplicitous and violent men whose minds live in a 12th century mélange of hatred of the Infidel (which is just about all of the rest of the world); misogyny - alert to the American left: this is not just chauvinistic men wanting to keep women home and perennially barefoot and pregnant; this is a world where a teenage girl had her nose and ears lopped off because her mother wouldn’t let her marry their cousin, (which actually happened recently in Pakistan, and when the little girl’s mother saw her baby’s face after this mutilation, she fell dead from a heart attack) (religion of peace); this, Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Boxer, is the Islam you champion. One will also find homophobia to a degree that these and other ardent feminists, like Barney Frank, could not imagine – no hate crime legislation here – beheading is the answer to that particular problem in Muslim countries. Then there are young men who have had every advantage that the West gives its youth, who would prefer to have their future contain wiring Downs’ Syndrome children with explosives so they can kill that many more innocent Westerners, in whatever country, it doesn’t really matter to them as long as it results in the most casualties.

And why do they do this? Not for anything we have done, despite constant such lamentations by the left, but for what we are. As an Islamic terrorist was quoted in responding to a leftist plea for us to just get along: “We don’t want to reason with you; we want to kill you.” A logical conclusion is to listen to them when they describe what they want to do to us for existing, don’t you think?

This is the Muslim world Barack Hussein Obama embraces.

Isn’t it time that the President of the United States of America stops protecting and defending the murderous medieval world of Islamic terrorism and starts protecting and defending the American people? Sadly, for us, this is not the case for our current Supreme Leader.

WW II Battleship sailor tells Obama to shape up or ship out !

This venerable and much honored WW II vet is well known in Hawaii for his seventy-plus years of service to patriotic organizations and causes all over the country. A humble man without a political bone in his body, he has never spoken out before about a government official, until now. He dictated this letter to a friend, signed it and mailed it to the president.

Dear President Obama, My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time don't believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos'n Mate. Now I live in a "rest home" located on the western end of Pearl Harbor , allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.

One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man. So here goes.

I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do, but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish.

I can't figure out what country you are the president of. You fly around the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like:

" We're no longer a Christian nation"

" America is arrogant" - (Your wife even announced to the world," America is mean-spirited. " Please tell her to try preaching that nonsense to 23 generations of our war dead buried all over the globe who died for no other reason than to free a whole lot of strangers from tyranny and hopelessness.)

I'd say shame on the both of you, but I don't think you like America, nor do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do, for the obvious gifts this country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House.

After 9/11 you said," America hasn't lived up to her ideals." Which ones did you mean? Was it the notion of personal liberty that 11,000 farmers and shopkeepers died for to win independence from the British? Or maybe the ideal that no man should be a slave to another man, that 500,000 men died for in the Civil War? I hope you didn't mean the ideal 470,000 fathers, brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew personally died for in WWII, because we felt real strongly about not letting any nation push us around, because we stand for freedom.

I don't think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than discrimination. You know the one that a whole lot of white people understood when they helped to get you elected.

Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man. Shape up and start acting like an American. If you don't, I'll do what I can to see you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue . You were elected to lead not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves.

And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to jump to conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded dozens more. You mean you don't want us to do what you did when that white cop used force to subdue that black college professor in Massachusetts , who was putting up a fight? You don't mind offending the police calling them stupid but you don't want us to offend Muslim fanatics by calling them what they are, terrorists.

One more thing. I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you're the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you're not in this fight to win, then get out. The life of one American soldier is not worth the best political strategy you're thinking of.

You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest challenge ever presented to any president.

You're not going to restore American greatness by bringing back our bloated economy. That's not our greatest threat. Losing the heart and soul of who we are as Americans is our big fight now.

And I sure as hell don't want to think my president is the enemy in this final battle.

I hope you all will read this article thoroughly. It describes, in part, what we may and should do when our freedoms are threatened, as they are now by Barack Obama and the liberals (both Democrats and Republicans) of the government.

"On December 16th, 1773, "radicals" from Marlborough, Massachusetts, threw 342 chests of tea from three British East India Company ships into Boston Harbor in protest of oppressive taxation and tyrannical rule. They wrote of their actions, "A free-born people are not required by the religion of Christ to submit to tyranny, but may make use of such power as God has given them to recover and support their ... liberties." That event, of course, was the Boston Tea Party.

As you will see, all through this wonderful document references are made of God and Christ as founders of our Nation. Barack Obama has already stated that "this is not a Christian nation." He and the liberal Democrats are doing all they can to remove God and Jesus Christ from America.
As you will read, the laws and ethics of God and Jesus Christ are what our founding fathers meant us to rely upon in times of trouble; at all times.

On July 6th, 1775, Thomas Jefferson and John Dickinson issued their Declaration of the Cause and Necessity of Taking up Arms: "With hearts fortified with these animating reflections, we most solemnly, before God and the world, declare, that, exerting the utmost energy of those powers, which our beneficent Creator hath graciously bestowed upon us, the arms we have been compelled by our enemies to assume, we will, in defiance of every hazard, with unabating firmness and perseverance employ for the preservation of our liberties; being with one mind resolved to die freemen rather than to live as slaves."

It is fast approaching the time when we will need to consider actual armed resistance to the onslaught of the tyrant, Barack Obama and the traitorous Liberal Democrats and the encroaching Muslims in order to save our nation.

It appears to me that many 'Christians' are content to await the next coming of Christ to speak up and fight for our Nation. We cannot let this attitude become our rallying cry against the afore mentioned who wish to enslave us and destroy our Free Nation. We have to act now, before it is too late and we go the way of past Socialist, Godless nations.

We have a man leading this country who may not even be a true American; at least he refuses to provide the proper document to prove it and put the issue to rest. I marvel at the cowardice of our leaders in not insisting he do what is right and honorable. So far, we have groveled at his feet like dogs, licking the scraps of half-truths he drops for us; afraid of being labeled racist or some other stupid name if we speak up for truth and honor.

Now we can stand up as true God fearing Americans, free born and faithful to our Nation, and insist on truth and honor in our government or we can stay where we are; afraid to speak, and allow our freedoms to quickly slip away.

You must make a choice; speak up and be proud and brave or keep silent, deny the truth and accept the scraps of garbage from our conquerors. The choice is yours.

Today I will attempt to post the entire essence of all Barack Obama said when he was running for president; all of any substance that helped get him elected.
I hope I don't miss anything of importance.
"I could never say anything against my pastor, Jeremiah Wright, just because he is a flaming racist and hates America and hates white people and blames them for everything that is bad about blacks. He is like an uncle to me,-as close as my own white mother."

"I don't agree with Pastor Wright. He is hurting my chances to be elected so I won't have anything more to do with him! SHUT UP! I DON'T CARE WHAT I SAID BEFORE!@!"
That is part of Obamas terrific rhetoric. Now here is the main and most effective part; the part that really got him elected:
"I think it's time for a change. I want change!"
I hope I haven't left anything out. As near as I can recall (and I listened to everything he said for two years) that is the gist of all Obama said while he was running for president. And he did, after all, get elected. I can't say for sure if the dynamism of his verbiage or the intellectual proficiency of the electors, or a combination of both, that finally did it.
But, I'm sure all of you people who voted for him are aware of exactly what it was that got him over the top.

Anyhoo, you all did a good job. I hope this article helps you to understand Obama better. And I, of course, will post more if Obama does anything of any importance.

Alas, it is true - all to help the 12 Million illegal Immigrants and other unemployed Minorities! This woman is frightening.

She quotes...' We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income, (didn't Marx say something like this?), in our country and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest.' (I am not rich, are you?) When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied: 'We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long way to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as 'Americans'.'

Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America . Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to. This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known. Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.

Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ' 60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements,Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream. Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks -- with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas -- to advance black applicants over white appli cants. Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated their time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.

We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude??

Barack talks about new 'ladders of opportunity' for blacks. Let him go to Altoona? And Johnstown, and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for 'deserving' white kids.? Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America? Is it really white America's fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?

Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?

As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?

Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?

We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena . And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.

Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago.

This needs to be passed around because, this is a message everyone needs to hear!!!

I wrote this poem for no particular reason; I just wanted to write something different. But when I read it over again, I realized it refers to the new president of this country. These could be (and probably are) his deep hidden thoughts. And they fit!

Pondering...

I sit alone a lot and think about this joke that I refer to as my 'life,'
And wonder where I am in it; I wonder where I'll go when it is through.
I have to put a smile on whenever other people come around;
A smile that's just a lie,-that's only what my soul says I should do.

It's easy to pretend that everything I see is right and I'm content
But deep within I know that that pretense is coming from so far inside
That I may never really understand what makes me feel the way I do;
I couldn't understand the truth of this old world,-not even if I tried.

I'll wake up in the morning and start my day the way I did before,-
Putting on this strange facade,-pretending I am happy with my fate,-
But always knowing in my gut that sometimes, somewhere way down deep inside,
My life is just a joke; the cloak I wrap around myself each day is hate.

But I'll start up again and fool the world and all the crazy clowns within it
Into thinking I am someone who is happy to be with them all.
I let them think that they are people; friends that I can know and really love;

Exclusive: CIA Station Chief in Algeria Accused of Rapes...

The CIA's station chief at its sensitive post in Algeria is under investigation by the U.S. Justice Department for allegedly raping at least two Muslim women who claim he laced their drinks with a knock-out drug, U.S. law enforcement sources tell ABC News.
The suspect in the case is identified as Andrew Warren in an affidavit for a search warrant filed in federal court in Washington, D.C. by an investigator for the State Department's Diplomatic Security Service.
Officials say the 41-year old Warren, a convert to Islam, was ordered home by the U.S. Ambassador, David Pearce, in October after the women came forward with their rape allegations in September.
According to the affidavit, the two women "reported the allegations in this affidavit independently of each other."
I guess this is pretty cut and dried. Now my question is, since this guy is a Muslim (black, I think)and these women were drinking alcoholic beverages (which is against Islamic law) and they were alone with him (a no-no) will they be given 200 lashes or will they be stoned to death? It has to be one or the other.

And what, if anything, can the Federal Government do to punish him since, according to Islamic law, he committed no crime? Well??

I never owned a slave and don't know anyone who has but the BBC News and these people they tell about want us to remember those days anyhow, days none of us can remember because we weren't there. That'll give them an excuse to get away with things; things like blaming whitey for their troubles, and to continue to be slaves, or at least, victims
There is a lot in common between blacks and Okies. We all had hard times years ago. We both were insulted and spat upon and had to live through it.

The difference though is, we Okies don't try to blame everyone alive today for our troubles of fifty or sixty years ago. You blacks should try not blaming everyone else for your failures. Maybe then you can be proud enough of America to become Americans instead of 'African-Americans!'

Chrysler wants seven billion bucks to stay afloat. While Chrysler asks for 7 big ones, their top execs get millions just to stay with the company. $30,000,000.
The poor auto workers get only 65 bucks an hour in wages and benefits! How can they make it on that?
What's even funnier is, Chrysler is 20% owned by Daimler, a German company. How much will Germany give them?
The rest is owned by a private investment company,Cerberus Capital Management. I wonder how much they will get?
The fucking bums who run these companies who are sucking up the American Taxpayers money make hundreds of millions of dollars in salaries and bonuses. Look it up!

How Big Is the Universe...Where is the Center...
How big is the Universe? Now this is a dandy question. But it is really not too difficult to answer.
Yesterday I was watching (from my lofty perch) a program about the universe. The special effects were outstanding; sometimes the universe was rushing away from me,-sometimes it was rushing toward me. It was fantastic!
There were stars and planets,-even galaxies too numerous to mention or even imagine! Of course, they were imagined or else they wouldn't have been on the screen rushing about.
But to the question,"How Big is the Universe." We must consider, 'big' is a relative term. Big depends on to what 'it' is compared. To us, of course, the comparison has to be us, physically.
For instance; I am small compared to a Great Dane,-even to a Cocker Spaniel. But, compared to a flea, I am big. So there you have it.
We could say, then, a planet is large compared to us but is small compared to the sun. We know this because..-because that is our personal perception. It has to be perception because that is all we have with which to conclude.
For the same token, the sun is small compared with a galaxy. That makes sense except, all we have to go on as to the size of a galaxy is our personal perception of the size of a galaxy; we have never personally visited or measured a galaxy,-nor the sun.
But, you say, we see these things through a telescope so we know our perceptions are true and factual. Not really because we rely on certain 'facts' to draw conclusions, such as the speed of light which we perceive helps us to determine the size of things far away from us; or far away from each other. There could be a giant conspiracy of telescope makers and scientists that instill little pictures into lenses to fool us into thinking we are looking at the real thing.'duh'
Well, I think you get the idea. We are what we perceive. The earth, sun, galaxy and universe are what we perceive. So, you say, the universe is big. 'oops'.. Not necessarily. Big compared to what?
To determine if a thing is big or small, we need something with which to compare it. You say, compared to me the universe is big. Not necessarily.
If there was a thumbtack inside a large crate, you could say the thumbtack is small compared to the large crate. Or you could say the large crate is big compared to the thumbtack. OK, you got me.
Not necessarily.
The thumbtack is a real thing and the large crate is, also, a real thing; both solid to our inspection. So the thing we notice and acknowledge is, there is an inside and an outside to the crate that encompasses the thumbtack. So each of these objects is a singularity,- ergo, measurable.
Right, you say, so the big and small are more than mere perceptions; they are facts. That, of course, is right. 'Voila!'
Now on to the Universe. We see through telescopes (real ones, not fakes made up conspiratorially by scientists and telescope makers,)that the earth and planets, the sun, the galaxies and other 'heavenly' bodies are either big or small, depending on how you look at them and which first in comparison to the other.(or others) So far, so good.
Now to measure the universe. It's big, you say, because all of the aforementioned are inside it. Now I have to ask,"Inside what?" Inside the universe. That is no answer, of course, only a moot statement of (?). A personal observation or 'perception'.
For the universe to be big or small, it has to be compared to something and, since there are no observable sides, tops, bottoms or limits of any kind to the universe, and there is nothing anywhere else with which to compare it because there is nowhere else, it cannot be compared to anything. The sun and planets, the stars and galaxies,- the comets and meteors and moons and quasars and objects,- ad infinitum, are either big or small, depending on that with which they are compared.
So how big is the universe?
The universe is neither big nor small; it just 'is'.
Oh, yeah; Where is the center of the universe?
That's really easy. Todays' scientists and astrologers and space experts all agree that the objects of the universe are rushing away from us at a high rate of speed. The universe is expanding. ('duh' again)
So, what we have to do is watch the night sky from different places on the planet Earth,(we can watch the daytime sky but it isn't nearly as interesting since we can't see the stars and stuff in the daytime) and concede the determinations of the experts, that the objects of the universe are, indeed, rushing away from us and they are doing so in the same directions away, regardless of where we are on the Earth.
Now look up the definitions of the words,"Logical." and,"Conclusion," and apply them to the part here we have discussed concerning where the center of the universe is and I think you will logically conclude,-the center of the universe is wherever you are anytime you wonder about where the center of the universe is.
No, you say, it's the earth itself which is the center of the universe because you are standing on the earth!
No, no,-not so. We may be standing on the earth but the earth itself is spinning around as fast as it can, trying to get away from us, to no avail.
So, like it or not or believe it or not, even though there are no boundaries to the universe, you physically are the center of that universe! (such as it is)

Now, wasn't this better than reading more about the hypocrisies and lies of this country and the-'choke'-leaders of this country?

What Is Happening To Our Nation?...

Doom and Gloom! What a way to start a day! But what else is there for our once proud and powerful country? Our president, George Bush, has spent eight years doing his best to help this country regress, and has done a damn good job at doing just that. What do I mean? Well, just look at the facts: He has vetoed fewer pork spending bills than any president in our history and that has allowed our nation to acquire the biggest spending deficit in history, so we are all but broke.

And he sat and did nothing while groups like ACORN bullied banks and mortgage companies into making loans for houses to low income people who could never pay for them, thus putting this country into a mortgage foreclosure free fall in the housing industry.

And he sat and did nothing while Wall Street Executives stole from and cheated working people out of their life savings. He was the one who should have watched the people in charge of Americas' finances and provided the oversight to assure they would be honest and do the right thing to protect us financially. The buck should stop there, at the White House.

And he sat and did nothing while China violated trade agreements right and left and he allowed that nation to dig a trade surplus hole for the US to fall into, creating the biggest negative trade surplus of any time in our history.

And he sat and did nothing while the major oil companies and OPEC caused the price of oil to escalate to the point that average Americans could barely afford to buy gas to get to work and back.

He broke the promise of both of his election campaigns to see that offshore and ANWAR would be open for drilling to get our own oil supply so we would not be slaves to our 'friend' Saudia Arabia. He could have opened offshore and ANWAR to drilling by executive order, then, if congress disagreed, they would have to have a majority vote to override his order. But his stupid 'compassionate -can't we all just get along -conservatism' wouldn't allow him to disagree with the liberals for fear of offending someone; he forgot about the conservative voters who got him into the White House and he still forgot about us by doing nothing to help Senator McCain win the presidency.

And now he is doing nothing while we watch Russia sail warships and fly military airplanes to Venezuela and install missiles there, a nation that hates America and everything we stand for,and he watches and does nothing as Russia offers to help Venezuela and our enemy, Iran further develop a nuclear bomb.
What is happening to the ghost of John F Kennedy, a president that stopped that same thing from happening not too many years ago for the good and safety of our Nation? Yeah, you'd think we'd learn.

But no, now we are about to swear in a man to the presidency who is openly black-African oriented; a man who sat in church and listened to a black bigoted minister, Jeremiah Wright, curse this nation and blame the white man for all of the ills of our nation, namely inventing the aids virus and importing heroin to eliminate black people from our land and causing the 9/11 terrorist attack on the United States! And the president-elect agreed with him by his very presence in that foul church house for twenty years.

We dis-regard the fact that an American terrorist helped him kick off his political campaign in the first place. And we disregard the fact that he used unethical, sneaky and underhanded tactics to have all of his opponents dis-qualified when he ran for the Illinois Senate. Look it up.

He told so many lies and threw so many things up to see which way the wind blew that it would be impossible to list them all.

He defended his racist pastor and could never be too critical of his bigoted statements; Wright "is like an old uncle who says things I don't always agree with," but he could no more disown him than he could disown his grandmother.

He dumped that same 'old uncle' pastor when the 'old uncle' statements began to hinder his campaign. All things to all people; he wants to be.

You'd think that, after eight years of a red neck slug like Bill Clinton and another eight years of a do-nothing like George Bush, we'd think more than twice and use a little common sense in selecting someone to lead us. But, since I am much more intelligent and sensible and honest and patriotic than 52.5% of the American voters, it wasn't enough to get a real honest to God American hero elected. Instead we got a man who could easily do more national, white America harm than the last two combined.

And, you know what the worse part is? Those same people and most of the others will read this and say,"Sour grapes." And that's too bad. It's too bad for our nation. It's too bad for our God.

Bill Clinton taught our kids that blow jobs are not sex so it's OK. George Bush taught our kids that it's best to do nothing rather than disagree and cause bad feelings. Now Barack Obama will teach our kids that this is not a Christian Nation and the Constitution is worthless and people like the racist and bigoted Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan and the terrorist America hater, William Ayers are great Americans and all the ills of this country are because of White Americans.

Don't be surprised if more and more Muslims get into our federal government. You know, people who want the subjugation or death of all Christians and Jews. Koran-Dinner Table 5:51

Perceptions

I perceive, all the simple little things that never take a lot of thought-
Sixty seconds make a minute, sixty minutes make an hour,
Anything that once is paid for is at once considered bought.

And the seasons; there's the winter and the springtime and the summer and the fall,
And the battles and the games we play don't mean so much to win or lose,
It ain't the win or lose but how we play the games is all.

It's a game-and we can't take it too serious, this life we try to live,
Get up early every morning, go to bed too late at night,
To consider what we get we must consider what we give.

And the giving; must we always take the back seat, stand behind our fellow man?
All these questions need some answers. Is the answer all around us?
Not to play the game so well but just to win it if we can!

What wonderful words these are! This is the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States of America, considered by some to be the most wonderful piece ever written; as close to perfection, save the Holy Bible, as anything ever written!

One man dedicated his life defending this Constitution and another man attested it is flawed and even denied it is a Christian inspired Document.
"This is not a Christian Nation," he said.

Now are we to defend this Great Document to which we owe our freedom, our honor, our very lives or will we bow to a man who owes nothing to anything American; who pledges his allegiance to his African Ancestry and Nation?

I would not have believed it if someone had told me there would be nothing but bad comments and insults on the comment section of a news article about Governor Sarah Palin.
Not one nice word about her or her speech. Nothing good. Nothing!
I have to admit, I didn't read all 151 comments but I read enough to begin to get a bit queasy so I stopped.
Here is the beginning of the article.

Yeah, I know it is a CNN article but, come on, somewhere in the world there has to be at least one person who read this article who agrees with what Sarah says. -Nope, not in the entire world!
I sent them an e-mail as to why I intend to completely delete their news station from my programming. You know, if there is something that makes a person queasy and that person keeps utilizing, ingesting, using or watching and listening to it, then it's his fault. This hang nail is coming off for good!
If Barack Hussein Obama gets to be president, we all will have a hang nail, a wrenching gut, a load of gas that will never run out!
And, remember, if you vote for him and he wins, no matter what happens for at least four years, (probably many more than that once he and his racist cronies get control of our Nation)there will be NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!!
We have to remember and think about the two slogans used by the Democrats and the Republicans. Both are the absolute truth about what they want.

Remember Joe the Plumber? Well, here is Cory Miller the Driller. This is an open letter to Senator Obama about what his (Obamas') attitude is about their (Joe the Plumber and Cory Miller the Driller)wages, the money they earned and will earn as a result of their hard work and what he (Obama) thinks should happen to it.

It's a bit long but it's an excellent piece of writing and a really outstanding sentiment. Please read it all the way through. Then you decide.

Mr. Obama,

Given the uproar about the simple question asked you by Joe the plumber, and the persecution that has been heaped on him because he dared to question you, I find myself motivated to say a few things to you myself.

While Joe aspires to start a business someday, I already have started not one, but 4 businesses. But first, let me introduce myself. You can call me “Cory the well driller”. I am a 54-year-old high school graduate. I didn’t go to college like you, I was too ready to go “conquer the world” when I finished high school.

25 years ago at age 29, I started my own water well drilling business at a time when the economy here in East Texas was in a tailspin from the crash of the early 80’s oil boom. I didn’t get any help from the government, nor did I look for any. I borrowed what I could from my sister, my uncle, and even the pawnshop and managed to scrape together a homemade drill rig and a few tools to do my first job.

My businesses did not start as result of privilege. It is the result of my personal drive, personal ambition, self-discipline, self reliance, and a determination to treat my customers fairly. From the very start my business provided one other (than myself) East Texan a full time job. I couldn’t afford a backhoe the first few years (something every well drilling business had), so I and my helper had to dig the mud pits that are necessary for each and every job with hand shovels. I had to use my 10-year-old, ½-ton pickup truck for my water tank truck (normally a job for at least a 2 ton truck).

A year and a half after I started the business, I scraped together a 20% down payment to get a modest bank loan and bought a (28 year) old, worn out, slightly bigger drilling rig to allow me to drill the deeper water wells in my area. I spent the next few years drilling wells with the rig while simultaneously rebuilding it between jobs. Through these years I never knew from one month to the next if I would have any work or be able to pay the bills.

I got behind on my income taxes one year, and spent the next two years paying that back (with penalty and interest) while keeping up with ongoing taxes. I got behind on my water well supply bill 2 different years (way behind the second time… $80,000.00), and spent over a year paying it back (each time) while continuing to pay for ongoing supplies C.O.D. Of course, the personal stress endured through these experiences and years is hard to measure. I do have a stent in my heart now to memorialize it all.

I spent the next 10 years developing the reputation for being the most competent and most honest water well driller in East Texas. 2 years along the way, I hired another full time employee for the drilling business so that we could provide full time water well pump service as well as the well drilling. Also, 3 years along the path, I bought a water well screen service machine from a friend, starting business # 2. 5 years later I made a business loan for $100,000.00 to build a new, higher production, computer controlled screen service machine. I had designed the machine myself, and it didn’t work out for 3 years so I had to make the loan payments without the benefit of any added income from the new machine. No government program was there to help me with the payments, or to help me sleep at night, as I lay awake wondering how I would solve my machine problems or pay my bills. Finally, after 3 years, I got the screen machine working properly, and that provided another full time job for an East Texan in the screen service business.

2 years after that, I made another business loan, this time for $250,000.00, to buy another used drilling rig and all the support equipment needed to run another, larger, drill rig. This provided another 2 full time jobs for East Texans. Again, I spent a couple of years not knowing if I had made a smart move, or a move that would bankrupt me. For the third time in 13 years, I had placed everything I owned on the line, risking everything, in order to build a business.

A couple of years into this, I came up with a bright idea for a new kind of mud pump, a fundamentally necessary pump used on water well drill rigs. I spent my entire life savings to date (just $30,000.00), building a prototype of the pump and took it to the national water well convention to show it off. Customers immediately started coming out of the woodworks to buy the pumps, but there was a problem. I had depleted my assets making the prototype, and nobody would make me a business loan to start production of the new pumps.

With several deposits for pump orders in hand, and nowhere to go, I finally started applying for as many credit card as I could find and took cash withdrawals on these cards to the tune of over $150,000.00 (including modest loans from my dear sister and brother), to get this 3rd business going.

Yes, once again, I had everything hanging over the line in an effort to start another business. I had never manufactured anything, and I had to design and bring into production a complex hydraulic machine from an untested prototype to a reliable production model (in six months).

How many nights I lay awake wondering if I had just made the paramount mistake of my life I cannot tell you, but there were plenty. I managed to get the pumps into production, which immediately created another 2 full time jobs in East Texas. Some of the models in the first year suffered from quality issues due to the poor workmanship of one of my key suppliers, so an employee and I (another East Texan employed) had to drive across the country to repair customers’ pumps, practically from coast to coast.

I stood behind the product, and made payments to all the credit cards that had financed me (and my brother and sister). I spent the next 5 years improving and refining the product, building a reputation for the pump and the company, working to get the pump into drill rig manufacturers’ product lines, and paying back credit cards. During all this time I continued to manage a growing water well business that was now operating 3 drill rig crews, and 2 well service crews. Also, the screen service business continued to grow. No government programs were there to help me, Mr. Obama, but that’s ok, I didn’t expect any, nor did I want any. I was too busy fighting to make success happen to sit around waiting for the government to help me.

Now, we have been manufacturing the mud pumps for 7 years, my combined businesses employ 32 full time employees, and distribute $5,000,000.00 annually through the local economy. Now, just 4 months ago I borrowed $1,254,000.00, purchasing computer controlled machining equipment to start my 4th business, a production machine shop. The machine shop will serve the mud pump company so that we can better manufacture our pumps that are being shipped worldwide.

Of course, the machine shop will also do work for outside companies as well. This has already produced 2 more full time jobs, and 2 more should develop out of it in the next few months. This should work out, but if it doesn’t it will be because you, and the other professional politicians like yourself, will have destroyed our country's (and the worlds) economy with your meddling with mortgage loan programs through your liberal manipulation and intimidation of loaning institutions to make sure that unqualified borrowers could get mortgages.

You see, at the very time when I couldn’t get a business loan to get my mud pumps into production, you were working with Acorn and the Community Reinvestment Act programs to make sure that unqualified borrowers could buy homes with no down payment, and even no credit or worse yet, bad credit. Even the infamous, liberal, Ninja loans (No Income, No Job or Assets). While these unqualified borrowers were enjoying unrealistically low interest rates, I was paying 22% to 24% interest on the credit cards that I had used to provide me the funds for the mud pump business that has created jobs for more East Texans.

It’s funny, because after 25 years of turning almost every dime of extra money back into my businesses to grow them, it has been only in the last two years that I have finally made enough money to be able to put a little away for retirement, and now the value of that has dropped 40% because of the policies you and your ilk have perpetrated on our country.

You see, Mr. Obama, I’m the guy you intend to raise taxes on. I’m the guy who has spent 25 years toiling and sweating, fretting and fighting, stressing and risking, to build a business and get ahead. I’m the guy who has been on the very edge of bankruptcy more than a dozen times over the last 25 years, and all the while creating more and more jobs for East Texans who didn’t want to take a risk, and wouldn’t demand from themselves what I have demanded from myself. I’m the guy you characterize as “the Americans who can afford it the most” that you believe should be taxed more to provide income redistribution “to spread the wealth” to those who have never toiled, sweated, fretted, fought, stressed, or risked anything. You want to characterize me as someone who has enjoyed a life of privilege and who needs to pay a higher percentage of my income than those who have bought into your entitlement culture.

I resent you, Mr. Obama, as I resent all who want to use class warfare as a tool to advance their political career. What’s worse, each year more Americans buy into your liberal entitlement culture, and turn to the government for their hope of a better life instead of themselves. Liberals are succeeding through more than 40 years of collaborative effort between the predominant liberal media, and liberal indoctrination programs in the public school systems across our land.

What is so terribly sad about this is this; America was made great by people who embraced the one-time American culture of self-reliance, self-motivation, self-determination, self-discipline, personal betterment, and hard work, risk taking. A culture built around the concept that success was in reach on every able bodied American who would strive for it. Each year that less Americans embrace that culture, we all descend together. We descend down the socialist path that has brought country after country ultimately to bitter and unremarkable states.

If you and your liberal comrades in the media and school systems would spend half as much effort cultivating a culture of can-do across America as you do cultivating your entitlement culture, we could see Americans at large embracing the conviction that they can elevate themselves through personal betterment, personal achievement, and self reliance.

You see, when people embrace such ideals, they act on them. When people act on such ideals, they succeed. All of America could find herself elevating instead of deteriorating. But that would eliminate the need for liberal politicians, wouldn’t it, Mr. Obama? The country would not need you if the country was convinced that problem solving was best left with individuals instead of the government. You and all your liberal comrades have got a vested interested in creating a dependent class in our country.

It is the very business of liberals to create an ever-expanding dependence on government. What’s remarkable is that you, who have never produced a job in your life, are going to tax me to take more of my money and give it to people who wouldn’t need my money if they would get off their entitlement mentality asses and apply themselves at work, demand more from themselves, and quit looking to liberal politicians to raise their station in life.

You see, I know because I’ve had them work for me before. Hundreds of them over these 25 years. People who simply will not show up to work on time. People who just will not work 5 days in a week, much less, 6 days. People always looking for a way to put less effort out. People who actually tell me that they would do more if I just would first pay them more. People who take off work to sit in government offices to apply to get free government handouts (gee, I wonder how things would have turned out for them if they had spent that time earning money and pleasing their employer?). You see, all of this comes from your entitlement mentality culture.

Oh, I know you will say I am uncompassionate. Sorry, Mr. Obama, wrong again. You see, I’ve seen what the average percentage of your income has been given to charities over the years of 2000 to 2004 (ignoring the years you started running for office - can you pronounce “politically motivated”; you averaged of less than 1% annually.

And your running mate, Joe Biden, averaged less than ¼% of his annual income in charitable contributions over the last 10 years. Like so many liberals, the two of you want to give to the needy, just as long as it is someone else’s money you are giving to them. I won’t say what I have given to charities over the last 25 years, but the percentage is several times more than you or Joe Biden (don’t you just hate google?). Tell me again how you feel my pain.

In short, Mr. Obama, your political philosophies represent everything that is wrong with our country. You represent the culture of government dependence instead of self-reliance; Entitlement mentality instead of personal achievement; Penalization of the successful to reward the unmotivated; Political correctness instead of open mindedness and open debate.

If you are successful, you may preside over the final transformation of America from being the greatest and most self-reliant culture on earth, to just another country of whiners and wimps, who sit around looking to the government to solve their problems. Like all of western Europe. All countries on the decline. All countries that, because of liberal socialistic mentalities, have a little less to offer mankind every year.

God help us… Cory Miller,- just a ordinary, extraordinary American, the way a lot of Americans used to be.

I did the brake jobs myself at a cost of $87.00 per set of duals (two wheels) to save paying $250 to have it done. At todays' rate, that would be over $450,000 a year! We never had money left over for more taxes! End of asterisk.*

Thursday, October 16, 2008 11:44 AM By: Ronald Kessler If Barack Obama wins the presidency, he will endanger the country by making us more vulnerable to terrorist attacks, the vice chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence tells Newsmax.

Obama “would so weaken our security forces that I personally believe that we would be in much greater danger of terrorist attacks in the United States and abroad,” says Sen. Kit Bond, R-Mo. “I’m very much concerned, because he’s shown weak judgment throughout his career. Throughout his campaign he has taken one position after another that just doesn’t make sense in fighting the war on terror.”

Obama voted twice in favor of requiring warrants to intercept communications of foreign terrorists situated overseas, including Osama bin Laden, Bond says.

“He voted for all of the amendments to weaken the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act bill and fought to strip it of its power,” Bond says. “Only at the 11th hour when he saw the tide was turning, did he vote for” the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

Obama’s comment that the way to fight the war on terror is with prosecutions, the way the first World Trade Center bombing was addressed, shows how out of touch Obama is, Bond says.

“That’s really great,” Bond says. “Prosecuting somebody who’s blown themselves to pieces. You’re lucky to find enough of them to identify them by DNA. They’re really going to fear prosecution.”

Because of President Bush’s policies, “We are much safer than before 9/11 and have avoided another terrorist attack,” Bond says. “That strategy has carried the war to the terrorists where they are. We’ve rolled back al-Qaida a long way. But Obama’s initial position a couple of years ago that the war is lost, let’s get out, would have turned the country over to al-Qaida.”

Obama’s recent claims that, if he knew where bin Laden was, he would strike him in Pakistan without permission of that country shows how little understanding he has of the war on terror, Bond says.

“That’s the policy now,” Bond says. “We do continually kill terrorists in Pakistan with the Predator, and we advise Pakistan. We don’t seek their permission. At one point, he said we’ll just go bomb Pakistan. Apparently he doesn’t realize that Pakistan, while certainly a mixed bag, is a nuclear-equipped Muslim territory which could, with any precipitous action, turn into an enemy. They control our most important supply routes into Afghanistan, and he would ignore that. Barack Obamas Vote Against Funding the Troops In Iraq…

5/24/07 Vote 181: On the Motion: This $120 billion dollar package was passed in the Senate by an 80-14 vote on May 24. The bill primarily focuses on funding for the Iraq war but also addresses other unrelated topics.

A previous war funding bill was vetoed by the president because it included troop withdrawal deadlines, which were largely supported by anti-war Democrats. *(I think that was the one John McCain voted against because of it’s pullout deadline; and it was vetoed by Bush anyhow)

Ten Democrats opposed this new bill with no withdrawal deadlines, while 37 supported its passage. Congress had to act to replace war funding that would have ended May 28.

According to the Washington Post, this bill includes 18 “benchmarks that the Iraqi government must meet to continue receiving reconstruction aid.” One hundred billion dollars in funding is slated to support continuing military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. The bill says that the President and Congress must not take any action that will endanger the troops and that they provide any funds necessary for training, equipment and other types of support to ensure their safety and the effectiveness of their missions. The president is required to give a first report on the Iraqis' progress in meeting the benchmarks to Congress on July 15.

Seventeen billion dollars in the package is for domestic spending. Out of this funding, $6.4 billion is for Gulf Coast hurricane relief efforts, $3 billion in emergency aid for farmers, $1 billion to upgrade port and mass transit security, $3 billion towards converting closing U.S. military bases to other uses, and $650 million to increase funding for children’s health care. A Congressional Research Service summary states that the “other domestic beneficiaries include state HIV grant programs, mine safety research, youth violence prevention activities, and pandemic flu protection.”

Sens. Barack Obama (Ill.) and Hilary Clinton (N.Y.) were among the 14 who opposed the bill.

What a pleasant way to spend an hour; watching Senator McCain instruct Senator Obama on how to run a country! I understand Senator Obama was supposed to agitate John McCain and try to get under his skin. It's too bad someone didn't tell Obama. The Dems must have accidentally told that to McCain instead.

I remember when I turned 12 and thought I knew everything (I didn't know everything until age 13) and stumbled across a grownup who really did know a few things. I'd spew a few quasi-facts (actually, opinions)and feel proud about knowing all those neat things and wait for the cringe I knew would come from the ..'choke'..adult.

'oops'...That's when I first learned how Barack Obama felt last night.

It depended on the adult at the time as to how quickly I would have (if I had had one) tucked my tail between my legs and slowly crept away.

I could almost feel a little sorry for the defeated Senator from Illinois if he hadn't been so obtuse as to claim victory from having been routed.

It reminded me of an old friend of ours, another Hussein, (Saddam) who, after having been driven back from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and all those other places (whose leaders are supposed to be our friends..-yeah, sure!)and not actually getting killed in the first Gulf war, said,"Hurray,-I won!"

The Fox text message poll at the end of the fiasco..-er,-um,..debate had McCain as the winner by a margin of 84% to Obamas' 14% with the rest undecided. (The undecideds must have been Obamas' staff)

Well, (I say that a lot, like Ronald Reagan did) maybe the next time Obama debates (if he still wants to) we should let him try his luck with Governor Palin instead. Maybe with her, Obamas' losing margin will be a bit closer;-but not much!

Now I'm anxious to see how Biden does in his debate with Governor Palin. I just hope neither Biden nor Obama has given up their jobs in the senate.

Time For a Change...

While perusing another of my blogs, I chanced upon this one from December-05. I think it is cute and, having recently concentrated mostly on politics and religion on this blog, decided it is time for a change, perhaps a smidgen of levity.
"Tracey called a few minutes ago and wanted to know how to find something on the internet. I, of course, gave her the standard answer: ‘Type it into google.’ That always works for me.
Googling things is a lot like staying well was when I was a kid. Now when you need to know something, you call on Google. When I was a kid, to stay well, my sisters and brother and I took “Calatabs” and “Black Draught.
The calatab was a small, round slick pill. (No one ever knew what was in it) It shouldn’t have been hard to swallow but it was. When you tried to gulp it down, it went as far as the top of your throat and stayed there all day. I’ve eaten as much as a whole loaf of Kilpatricks bread trying to get the calatab to go down but it never worked. I think it eventually just melted away.
The Black Draught was worse. It was in a flaky, grainy but very fine powder form and to do any good, it had to be taken into the mouth dry and washed down with a glass if water. I remember how hard it was to get all of the powder down. Sometimes it took up to three glasses of water to get it all down. It was bad enough to gag a maggot! I think I was only sick once or twice in my childhood.
I never took cuts or abrasions home either. I did for a while when I was very young, until I realized merthiolate burned much worse than the skint place hurt.
Merthiolate was a red medicine in a little bitty brownish/reddish bottle. It had a cap that screwed onto the top and attached to the underside of the cap was a glass applicator than went down into that bottle of liquid fire. I’m sure the reason Merthiolate was in such a small bottle was, if there was too much in a bigger bottle, it would break out into flames and burn up. It was that hot!

There was another medicine a lot like merthiolate. It was called, “Mercurochrome.” I asked my Mother once why we didn’t use that one and she said it wouldn’t do any good because it didn’t burn! Go figure! Made sense to her."

McCain/Obama Forum...

Donna and I are watching the McCain/Obama forum. I just watched the McCain portion of the forum and I must say, it was a bit interesting. It didn't tell me anything about the man than I didn't already know. The questions were varied and McCains' answers were, for the most part, short and succinct. I enjoyed the program but thought the questions might have been a bit more aggressive.
Now I am listening to Senator Obama and many of the same questions are being asked that were asked of McCain. Mr Obamas' answers are anything but short or succinct.
A question was asked of Obama and Donna (Mi Espousa- a little Mex Lingo here) and I listened intently for a while and, after a while, Donna looked at me and asked, "What was his question?" I had to think for a moment and remembered the question and told her.
Both men's answers were very good; mostly the same answers to the same questions. The biggest difference was, we could follow McCains answers easily but were hard pressed to follow Obamas answers because of the length and meanderings of his answers.
Oh, and by the way, Senator Obama is coming around more and more to Senator McCains way of thinking about just about everything. 'Yay'

Two Scenarios...

Two Scenarios…

Scenario Number One... Our existence is filled with harsh, loud reports that reverberate down through the halls of our lives; that create quasi aches and pains which become parts of us for a while, that conjure up things that go bump in the night; things that grate on our consciousnesses; things that start us abruptly, although mainly, temporarily and sometimes head us in a certain direction, not necessarily a bad direction but a direction which changes as we realize what is driving us to whatever destination we chance to imagine.

Then the noise subsides, the reports silence and we see that the loudness and reverberations were more a distraction, perhaps a call to arms; a suggestion of things needed to be addressed by us rather than an evil thing to be feared. We understand we need to make a stand.

Scenario Number Two… Our existence is filled with quiet, unassuming gradual things; things subtle like a lightly squeaking door in the blackness of night; things started so long ago that they have gone mainly anonymously for long periods of time as they moved slowly and silently along a chosen path;

chosen by a power so subtle as to go unnoticed by the masses and ignored by so many for so long that they progressed along their chosen path without interruption or challenge until they emerged at some time and place and showed the result of patience, progress and persistence; the Grand Canyon; a huge gash in our existences that challenges any band-aid of good sense and reasonableness, of judgment and cautious investigation. We need to be very careful.

“Duh!” You say’ “What the hell is this all about?” Well, if you have to ax, you shouldn’t be reading this stuff. It’s pretty heavy, even for me, the author.

In all cerealness, though, I think anyone who cares to can recognize the difference in McCain/Palin and Obama/Biden, the numbers one and two scenarios above. At least, this is the way I see them.

So, if you don’t mind a little noise but don’t want to be living in a raging river at the bottom of a deep, dangerous chasm, be ultra sure the Republicans win the upcoming presidential election!

A Troop of Racist Blacks versus a Real American...

I wonder if it is as obvious to the rest of the world as it is to me; Democrat blacks, for the most part, are flagrant racists! Otherwise, please explain this:

There is no way all these people can believe Barack Obama will make a good president, much less be good for black Americans! Fifty percent, perhaps, but, 91 percent?! No way!

It's too bad it has come to this. I've spent my adult life thinking that, maybe we will all be equal in each other's sight, but I now give up.

Not only do the blacks demonstrate a bias against whites, they are the majority who are turning away from God and embracing the false god, allah, a monster thought up by a mad Arab who called his ideology, islam, a religion and a means to kill or subjugate Christians and Jews. Too bad! As Chico the Wonder Dog would say,"Oh, well!"

Then there is Michael Steele, a real American. I heard his speech on the Republican National Convention floor last night and I must say, I was very impressed.

He obviously is his own man and someone to whom a person, white, black or whatever would do well to listen.

The best comment of this part of his speech is highlighted and I really admire him for saying that. This man could be any color and still be an exceptional person. But the fact that he is black adds more credibility to his words than I can express!

Obama Doesn't Understand the 13th Amendment...or the Federal Government,-the 14th amendment...

How about it. Do you understand the thirteenth amendment? Here it is, verbatim: "Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

Now just what does it mean here? It could mean:

1. "...slavery..., except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall (not) exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

Or it could mean:

2. "Slavery...shall (not) exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction." and: ..."Involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall (not) exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

Yeah, I know! You say it's as plain as the nose on my face that it means number 2, but it isn't. The way amendment thirteen is written in the Constitution of the United States can be open to interpretation by anyone. You don't even have to be a scholar. It's a hell of a lot more open to interpretation than the roe-v-wade bullshit is. There is not even a hint of anything resembling the abortion law written into the constitution.

As far as I'm concerned (and I have as much right to interpret the constitution as anyone else) Barack Obama will be all right as long as he doesn't break the law and be convicted for it. If he is convicted of breaking a law, it's back to the cotton patch for him!

Now for the 14th amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.

It seems the government isn't sure what they should do about the US born children of illegal immigrants. 'Duh'--That's a toughie! "14th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America:

Section 1. "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

Thus; Those American born children are US citizens,-period!

2. "No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States;..."

Thus; The paramount privilege of any American citizen is to live peacefully and securely within this, their country, the United States.

3. "...nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

Thus; All of those US born children of illegal immigrants have the right to have their parents with them to care for them until they are of legal adult age.

I hate it, folks, but we have to face it: in order to send back to Mexico (or where-ever)all illegal immigrants who have children born in this country (legal citizens) we'd have to amend the constitution. There is no question about this and we all know that's not going to happen.

The sensible alternative is; let them stay but each state pass a law that says English is our national language and all citizens must be fluent in our language and there will be NO SPECIAL MESSAGES ON PHONE CALLS, ETC, instructing people which button to push for English.

Allow a certain amount of time (a year) to learn this language and for those who don't learn it within that time period, sentence them to a year to:

1. Clean rest area toilets;

2. Pick up trash along roads and free-ways;

3. Clean gutters and sidewalks of large cities where people walk their dogs (Especially NYC);

4. And fight forest fires until they learn the language properly.

Each person will be tested annually to see if they have obeyed the law and learned our language. If they haven't, they get another year of the same.

I believe this is the only thing we can do without breaking the law or changing the constitution.

Now, Adios, Buenos Dias and Vaya con Dios to everyone!

Now let's all keep our eyes open in case Barack Obama gets arrested for littering or something. I know a store in Chowchilla, California that still sells 14 foot long cotton sacks, and at a discounted price!

I wondered if the Democrats have forgotten about how much Obama has lied to us since he started his run for the presidency?

How he dumped his 20 year long friend, pastor and mentor to help him get the nod as Democrat nominee?

Now I wonder if those same people realize how historically ignorant this man is?

Obama should have left this statement out of his speech. I really shows his ignorance; not necessarily about Kennedy but certainly about Roosevelt.

Roosevelt was an isolationist who sat and watched Hitler (and Russia) invade Poland, Czechoslovakia and a dozen other countries, some of which were supposed to be our friends and allies.

England had to beg us for help, tanks, planes and such,- even food and medical supplies before Roosevelt would lift a finger to help.

"In the Pennsylvania primary, Barack Obama rolled up more than 90 percent of the African-American vote. Among Catholics, he lost by 40 points. The cool liberal Harvard Law grad was not a good fit for the socially conservative ethnics of Altoona, Aliquippa and Johnstown.

The late Democrat Senator, Patrick Moynihan, had this to say about 'partial-birth' abortion:

"Partial-birth abortion, said the late Sen. Pat Moynihan, "comes as close to infanticide as anything I have seen in our judiciary."

"Yet, when Congress was voting to ban this terrible form of death for a mature fetus, Michelle Obama was signing fundraising letters pledging that, if elected, Barack would be "tireless" in keeping legal this "legitimate medical procedure."

And Barack did not let the militants down. When the Supreme Court upheld the congressional ban on this barbaric procedure, Barack denounced the court for denying "equal rights for women."

I cannot imagine this man as president of this nation. The United States is by no means as honorable as it was when Ronald Reagan was President but I don't think it has sunk so low as to elect Barack Obama president!

Remember when we were kids and played a game where we ran around in circles, or just spun around in circles, then tried to stand still without falling? It was fun for me! I really enjoyed it!
I do recall how hard it was to stand in one spot without falling or running sideways. And how thrilling it was when I could actually walk a few steps forward without falling over! What a feeling!
When I played this game, as well as some other games, I always wanted to pick some special person to play it with me. I knew which kids were the most likely to not do as well as I did and those were the ones I picked. The worse they were, the better it made me look and feel!

Well, (I say that a lot) I'll tell you. As I watch Barack Obama pretend to be president with his trips to foreign countries, refuse to visit our wounded troops because he can't take the media with him for photo-ops and change his agenda to coincide with the direction in which the wind blows today and all the other slip-ups, lapses, come-abouts,and all his gaffs and 'oops's', I can't help but wonder when he will stop the spinning and try to walk in a straight line and whom he will choose to play the game with him!
It'll have to be someone who will be worse than he is and couldn't be as 'everything good' as he, the anointed demigod, the supreme changling is or could ever be. (How about that Hillary Clinton!)
Yeah, sure! Today Hillary as Vice President; tomorrow Hillary as President-Bill as Vice President; the next day; Bill as President (again); Hillary as VP, etc., etc., on and on and on, ad infinitum, ad nauseam!

Why is it that all this spinning makes me want to up-chuck! Could it be the subject of this missile, whether me or he; more likely, he! Now I need a cool, damp cloth..uuuggggghhhhhhmmmpp-too late...

The contest to determine who are the presidential candidates is over. That was the easy part. It was a bit awkward to select the Republican nominee because there were many qualified people there but the Democrat was easy. After eight years of Bill Clinton, his "Stand By Your Man," wife, Hillary, never had a chance. The man who probably would have been the best Dem, John Edwards, was out after not too much ado, mostly about nothing.
Those ridiculous "debates" did nothing except cover the fact that Barack Obama knows virtually nothing about what goes on, has gone on and should go on. We're in for it now that Obama and McCain are the nominees.
Actually, there should be no contest if we concentrate on character and experience, both of which McCain has and neither of which Obama has.
Whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, I hope you will value truth above all. I am a Republican and almost any other Republican candidate would have been preferable over McCain who, in my opinion, is much too liberal. The thing about McCain, though, is, he is honest. I cannot find a lie he has told. He has changed a few outlooks but has always been truthful.
I cannot say the same about Obama. He has lied and been deceitful at times. His statement that he never heard any of the hateful things said by his pastor, Mr Wright, is a very obvious lie. For him to attend that so called church for twenty years and never heard Pastor Wright insult this Country and white Americans is absolutely unbelievable; no, impossible.
And then, after swearing allegiance and never-ending faith in that man, his pastor, he dumped him like a load of fertilizer.

I'm sorry; there should not even be a choice to be made about whom the next President should be. Senator McCain is very undesirable but Senator Obama is absolutley unacceptable. Please give a lot of thought to it before you decide who should lead this Nation. You have only one vote. Please make it count!

The Lean Cowboy Who Only Wanted a Drink...

A lean, rawboned cowboy rides into town; his gun is slung lower than is usual for a cattle man and the bottom of his holster is tied down to his leg with a leather thong. He walks into the towns’ only saloon and bellies up to the bar.

The bartender looks a question at him and he asks for a shot of Red Eye whiskey. The barkeep sets a shot glass in front of him and pours it full of the yellow liquid. The cowboy throws a quarter on the bar and picks up the glass and sips whiskey from it.

He looks around the barroom and sees no one or nothing that interests him. He stares into the shot glass, seeing nothing except the dim light reflecting off the cheap, yellow whiskey. He raises the glass to his lips, tips the glass quickly and swallows the rest.

He motions for another and puts another quarter on the bar. Just then, the bat wing doors open noisily and a short, stocky cowboy stomps in, obviously attempting to make as much noise as he can. He wants everyone to pay attention to him. He is a man who is very important to no one except himself, and he makes up for that unimportance with boisterous behavior.

He walks to the bar and gruffly orders a whiskey. The bartender grins at him and brings a bottle to set in front of him.

“How you doin’, Web,” he asks. The cowboy nods hello and picks up the bottle and pours a glass full of the whiskey and holds it up toward the first cowboy and says,”Lookin’ at ya’!"

The lean cowboy nods and picks up his own glass and sips from it.

“How about another,” he says to the lean cowboy.

“No thanks,” the man answers, “Two’s my limit.”

“Oh, hell, come on. I don’t like to drink alone. One more won’t hurt ya.’”

“Maybe next time,” says the lean cowboy, and he turns to go.

The stocky man steps in front of him and holds up a hand.

“Hold it, “says the stocky man, “I offered you a drink. I’d consider it an insult if you turn it down."

The lean cowboy looks directly into the eyes of the other man. “Please stand aside,” he says hesitantly. “I don’t want no trouble. I gotta go.”

The stocky man mistakes hesitancy for fear and steps toward the lean man. “You scared?” he asks. Maybe you shouldn’t have come in here. This is a mans’ bar and sissies ain’t welcome. Now, you’re gonna have a drink with me or I’m gonna plug you!”

The lean man stiffened and his eyes flashed. He saw that a couple more men had come into the bar and he could tell they were friends of the stocky man. The stocky man glanced at them and said, “Well, boys, are you ready for a show?”

The men smiled at that. They knew Web, the stocky man, was fast with a pistol; the fastest around here, for sure and they didn’t think the lean man would have much of a chance against him. “Sure, Web,” one of them said, “It might be fun!”

The stranger looked at Web. “I don’t want no trouble,” he said. He stepped to the side and started out but the stocky man stayed in front of him.

“You’re gonna have a drink with me or you ain’t leavin’ here”

“Mister,” the stranger said, “A drink ain’t worth dyin’ for.”

The stocky man’s hand dropped to his pistol. A shot rang out and the stocky man dropped to the floor, a bullet through his heart. His gun had barely cleared the holster.

The stranger looked at the men then toward the bartender.

“You all saw what happened, didn’t you?”

The bartender said he did and one of the other men said he did but the other man was silent.

“I didn’t see anything but that you picked a fight and drew first. Web was a friend of mine; just like a brother and I ain’t gonna let you get away with this.”

The stranger stiffened and faced the man. He had holstered his gun. Now his hand hovered near his pistol butt. He waited.

The man didn’t make a move. “I won’t do nothin’ right now,” he said. “I know you can beat me to the draw. I’ll get you, though, in my own time.”

The lean man realized what the man was saying and he asked. “You mean you’ll bushwhack me when I ain’t lookin? You’d ambush me?”

“You got it,” the man said. “You won’t see it comin’!”

The stranger looked at the bartender. “You saw what happened. Is this guy as good a friend to the guy as he says he is? Do you think he will lay for me?”

The bartender says he thinks the man will do what he says. He always has.

The stranger says, “I won’t look over my shoulder the rest of my life. Tell the law what you saw here.”

Then he drew his gun and shot the man dead.

“Now it’s done,” he said and he walked out the door, mounted his horse and rode away.

This will be a true story.

I Was Just Thinking...

The Muslim bible, or holy book, the Koran-(Qur'an) says in the book, Dinner Table: "[5.51] O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people."
Pretty clear, eh? Muslims cannot be our friends. (us Christians and Jews, at least)
The Muslims hate us and want us to be dead or Muslim. That's what their holy book says. (You can look it up for yourself if that is important to you)
But, still, we are in the mid east, defending someone, we aren't sure who,- the Shiites or Sunnis, or whomever. We don't know. When it's all over for us there and we can say we have a victory (whatever that is) we'll come back home. (Like we did from Korea 50 odd years ago -'duh' - we're still there)
If or when we do come home and leave them to their own resources, they will still hate us and want us dead or Muslim.
I know I call this blog a place for 'opinions', but what I am saying now is not just an opinion, it's a fact.
We need to wake up to the fact that we will never be safe around Muslims,-Muhammad made sure of that before he died. That's the way he wanted this boloney ideology to be when he thought up his bullshit "religion".
Since we all know these things to be the truth, why then do we not just go ahead and finish defeating Iraq and make islam illegal there and take over that place and get it over with. It's either that or wait for another fifty or so years until the Muslims take over this country.
With cowards like President Bush running things, islam won't have any trouble taking over this nation. Bush is a 'one-worlder' and has proven he doesn't want the United States to be a sovereign nation anymore. That's why there is no double border fence to the south and the illegal immigrants will never be sent back.
And that is why his close friends, the rulers of OPEC, the Saudis are getting all of our money for their oil. It's crazy.

If we just move into Iraq seriously and conquer it, we will have our own oil. After all, even though we are fighting and dying for them, they still charge us full price for fuel for our tanks and jeeps! What a deal!

Oh, well, you say; so what? It indicates to me that Mr Obama has no respect for America,-he only wants power! What would he do if he actully won the nomination and became President? I shudder to think about it!

Well, there it is. Mr Obama is finally quitting the United Trinity Church of Christ. (not a real Church of Christ) Now is he doing this for Jesus, because of the hatefilled rhetoric of the church's former pastor, Mr Wright, to defend the image of the House of God and defend the image of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; Or is he doing this to make himself a better candidate for the Presidency? Your guess is probably as good as his.
One time, after Muhammad and his band of killers conquered a small village and completely subdued it, a poet of that place wrote a not too complimentary poem about Muslim women. Muhammad was so pissed, he wanted that man dead but didn't want to do it himself so he axed his followers which of them would volunteer to murder the man who had offended Islam and him, the most holy prophet of allah.( He always called himself that so as to have an excuse to kill anyone he didn't like--or have it done)
A man said he'd do the job and he gave it a shot but the poet was a popular person and the would-be murdered couldn't get the fellow alone long enough to off him. He went back to the most holy prophet of allah and told him he needed to lie to the man and decieve him in order to get the murderee in a position to be murdered. The most holy prophet of allah said it would be all right to lie and decieve if it would help the cause of islam, the bull shit ideology Muhammad had thought up as a righteous way to kill Jews and Christians.
And so, with Muhammads' blessing, the follower of Muhammad lied to and decieved the innocent poet and got him alone and did, indeed, murder that man.
I know Barack Obama says he isn't a Muslim but his actions regarding his once beloved church and his now no longer beloved pastor, Mr Wright, the man who hates America, white people and rich people (who are white and that, of course, excludes him since he has used the church to become a zillionaire)make me wonder if he may be using whatever his religious conviction is to help him get into a position to make major color changes in this United States of America.
I ain't saying Obama is or isn't a Muslim but either wouldn't surprise me none.
And I cannot put much credence in what a man says who gives up what he has claimed to be his sacred religion just because, after twenty years of attending his church, he finally paid attention to a hate filled sermon and, in order to remain the demigod he has become to libs and dems, must denounce the church, the pastor and anyone else who stands in his way.

Picking up kids from schools that are in high crime areas,

Responding to calls from elderly parents who have fallen and broken bones and are immobilized,

Enjoying leisurely drives along the ocean (or mountains- or deserts) or anything else that takes gasoline consumption!

They're gonna give up everything that is pleasurable, necessary and life saving; that protects their families because they cannot afford to drive their vehicles because gasoline is priced too high but they do not want a price reduction!

The other major candidate, Democrat Barack Obama, dismissed the idea as a gimmick.

When there is someone who has my fate in his (or her) hands and that person sees a bad situation and does nothing about it, that person is either stupid or a coward.
Someone could have richly enhanced my (our) life and refused to do it. I am referring to our president, Mr Bush. I hesitate to call him stupid so I must call him a coward.
Mr Bush just finished a game of patty-cake with the leader of Saudi Arabia, who, also, is the leader of OPEC, the oil producing nations who now have the United States enslaved. (along with Communist China)
"US President George W. Bush said on Saturday that a hike in oil output by Saudi Arabia would not solve American energy problems."
That, of course, is a lie. It would lower the price of oil and gas to us consumers. The king of Arabia is the leader of OPEC and he could 'strongly suggest' all members lower their prices of oil and they would do it.
Our president should remind Arabia that we sent troops to fight and die so Saddam wouldn't take over Arabia. He should tell the king or prince or whatever he is that, if they don't lower their price, we will pull out all of our military and the next time someone attacks Arabia, we won't help them.
We also could cut off all our produce exports to them or charge them as much for our grain as they do for their oil.
But he won't tell them that because he's a coward. He's afraid of Muslims, our enemies.

He's talking about ANWAR oil and off coast drilling and he's trying to make us think he is really trying to do something there. He is, of course, lying about that. The President of the United States could issue an Executive Order opening Alaska and off shore sites for oil exploration and drilling and the senate nor anyone else could keep that from happening! But he won't because he's a coward.
George Bush is a liar and a coward and he cares less about the welfare of the American People. He is just sitting on his ass, biding his time until he can pass the hard stuff on to someone else!

What the hell is happening to twenty percent of Americans? I mean black Americans? Have they all (except for Bill Cosby) gone crazy?

Before I was born, quite a while before I was born, black people were "niggers".

After I became old enough to start school, black people were "colored people." My mother slapped me in my mouth one time because I called a colored boy a nigger. She said, "Don't ever let me hear you say that again. Those are colored people and they're as good as we are!"

When I was in the army in 1953, I shared a pup tent with a colored guy named Anderson. I never much thought anything about his (or my) color. We got along great and were friends.

Then some blacks decided that the term, "colored", was derogatory and opted instead for "black." And people like the Black Panthers decided they were better than white people. Well, I thought, they're just a bunch of trouble makers and this will pass.

And Martin Luther King came along and helped colored people a lot. He taught them how to insist on their rights. He was a great man.

Then there are Al Sharptons; and Pastor Jeremiah Wrights; and Louis Farrakhan; and now, I really believe, Barack Obama, who is much, much more subtle than the others.

..."When Mr. Bell seemed to try to flee or ram the officers with his car, the police said, the officers opened fire, killing him and wounding the two friends in a barrage of 50 bullets. The officers said they believed they were being fired upon, but no gun was found in the car..."

Evidently, Mr Bell tried to run over a police officer who ordered him to stop. And someone else in the car called for a gun. That sounds like imminent danger to me.

Someone said that if the officers had waited for a few more minutes, they would have seen there was no danger. Of course, if they were wrong, then some of them would have been killed.

I'm sorry but it seems black people nowadays don't respect the law or think they are subject to it.

I believe if Mr Bell had been a white man, all of this hullabaloo would not be happening. If OJ had been white, he would be forever asleep now. If Kobe had been white, he'd be in prison. Poor old Mike got screwed because he abused his wife, a black celebrity, instead of a white woman.

You black Americans need to dump the Sharptons, Farrakhans and Wrights (and Obama) and decide if you want to be Americans or what. If you do then you need to act like Americans and stop letting yourselves be intimidated and enslaved by the Sharptons, Farrakhans and Wrights, people who never stop spewing hate toward white America.

If you just want to hate someone, you should hate the Muslims, people who want us all dead, black and white alike.

Black Americans, GET OVER IT! No one owns slaves and no one alive ever has or wants to!

For me, there are no different colors, only different minded people; those who are black or white Americans and those who are African-Americans! Be American or be African. You cannot be both!

A Detective Story...

I was perusing my book,(A Detective Story) and ran across this incident I enjoyed so I decided to post it for you. It is what took place immediately after the murder of Old Man Rafton, the Mayor of Tulla City, Ohio. Enjoy!
*'Tom' is a detective and 'Billy' is a patrolman.
"...A week had passed since the murder of Old man Rafton and the police weren’t any closer to knowing who did the killing than they were on the night it happened. The sheriff regularly called the officers together to get a report from them about any possible clues or ideas they may have. Calls began to come in suggesting different people who might be responsible; who might be the ‘perp’.
A lady called the station to say she thought her husband was the killer. She said he hadn’t come home that night and refused to say where he had been. *Tom called him and asked him to come to the station. He took a taxi to the station and Tom asked him where he was on the night in question. He wanted to know why Tom was asking him these questions and Tom told him that it was just routine. He refused to answer any questions unless Tom told him why he wanted to know and why he was asking him specifically.
Tom said someone suggested that he might know about the killing of the Mayor and the man said,” It was my wife, wasn’t it,” and Tom said it might have been. The man said, “Boy, what a bitch. I can believe it. She thinks I am supposed to clear everything with her before I do it. She wants to treat me like I am a child. I was at an all night poker game with a few friends.” Then he gave their names to Tom.
“I used to play poker with my friends every week before I got married. She knew that and didn’t object to it before we married. After I said,”I do,” she changed.
At first she asked me to tell her when I planned to play poker. Then she asked me not to play so often. Then she wanted to go with me and I said OK. She didn’t like it because some of my friends smoked cigarettes so she wouldn’t go again. Then she said I shouldn’t play, it was too expensive and, if we ever had children, it would set a bad example for them. I stopped going for a while then thought, ‘What the hell! I need some kind of entertainment.’ We never went anywhere because she said we couldn’t afford it. I got tired of sitting home every night and that is all she wanted to do. She said that if we have each other, that should be enough. Frankly, she’s not that great.”
While he was talking to Tom, *Billy called a couple of his poker buddies and confirmed his story. Tom asked if he needed a ride home. Tom said he was satisfied and sorry he had bothered him. The man said he could use a ride so Tom took him home.
When they got there, the man asked Tom to wait for just a minute. Tom thought he would bring his wife out to verify everything. Instead, in a few minutes, the man came out carrying a suitcase. His wife followed him out, crying. The man didn’t look back. He asked Tom to take him to the bus station. Tom said all right, he would, and on the way, the man told Tom that his brother owned a store in another town and he thought working in a hardware store would be more satisfying than being married to his wife. Tom let him out at the bus station and went back to the police station.

When he walked in, Billy asked him what had happened. Tom said,” Not much,” and sat down at his desk, chuckling to himself..."

Time For a Choice...

Folks, it's coming up on the time for a choice. I've been following politics for about 48 years (since the advent of JFK) and I cannot recall when we, the people, have had less from which to choose when it is about presidential candidates.
I've been a Republican since the death of Kennedy (I voted for him) and my opinion is, we have a terrible choice to make this time.
I do not like John McCain but, in comparison to Clinton and Obama, two people who are completely filled with lies and deceit, he looks pretty good. (and that's not saying much)
My criticism of McCain is that he is much too liberal for me, a far right conservative. But it is becoming all too clear that neither Obama or Clinton can be believed. Both of them have been caught in lies. Not just a few but many.
It is my experience that a person who will tell a little lie will also tell a big one if it suits his or her purpose. Both Clinton and Obama are two of those people.
If I were a Democrat, I would vote for John McCain just to keep Clinton and Obama from winning this crucial race. And that's no lie!
I have not trusted Hillary since she failed to separate herself from Bill when he was caught in an adulterous situation. What a terrible lesson for their daughter to learn, that anything is all right as long as you can get away with it and nothing is too vulgar and foul if accepting and condoning it will further your own goal, as I am sure Hillary believes.
And Mr Obama has proven himself to be a bigoted racist of the worse kind because of his friendship and alliances with the Pastor Wright a man who admittedly blames white people for every bad thing a black has ever done, and William Ayers, a leader of the radical Weather Underground, which in the 1970s carried out numerous bombings, including one inside the U.S. Capitol and, last but not least, Mr Farrakhan, the leader of the black Nation of Islam, another group of 'Americans' who wants whitey dead.
Oh, I almost forgot! Senator McCain's wife hasn't filed her financial report yet! Bummer!

Well, that's it for me, Republican or Democrat; I've been both. It's a tough call but, as I said, I'd have to pick McCain for this one even if I were a Democrat, Think about it.

I certainly hope the 'President' also agrees. So far, he has been a disgrace to this Nation and now, maybe he can make it up some!

Iraq is looking at a potential boon in oil revenue this year, possibly as much as $100 billion in 2007 and 2008. Meanwhile, the U.S. military is having to buy its fuel on the open market, paying on average $3.23 a gallon and spending some $153 million a month in Iraq on fuel alone.

We should require Iraq to give up all the oil we need to fight their war for them! (I hate fighting a war for people who hate us and want us dead-that includes ALL Muslims)

I'm anxious now to see if Bush agrees with this recommendation or, as usual, kisses Muslim ass!

Now I wonder what our 'President' will do about that? It's too bad he isn't a Christian Republican! He'd stop the farce that is going on in this once mighty Nation!

And what are we going to do? Sit on our fat asses and let the Muslims take over? Elect Barack Obama as president so at least the Black Muslims of the Nation of Islam will have a free run at this country?

They asserted the responses were filled out by a campaign aide who “unintentionally mischaracterize[d] his position.”

"But a Politico examination determined that Obama was actually interviewed about the issues on the questionnaire by the liberal Chicago nonprofit group that issued it. If there is anything more disturbing than watching the Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s paranoid denunciations of whites and America, it’s seeing the reactions of many well-educated blacks who agree with him or find ways to justify his hate-filled comments.

“I am so proud of Reverend Wright, who speaks with unreserved passion, who accepts no quarter and gives no quarter,” said former civil rights leader Lawrence Guyot of Barack Obama’s speech addressing his longtime minister’s claims that America started the AIDS virus, trains professional killers, imports drugs, and has created a racist society to keep blacks down.

Culture of Conspiracy

While some of Wright’s language is “offensive,” the “reality out of which he speaks is that black people have suffered in America and continue to suffer because of the unfairness of the system,” said professor Cheryl Sanders of the Howard University School of Divinity. The black church “has always had prophetic preachers,” she said. “Prophetic voice goes all the way back to the days of slavery, when people were protesting being in bondage. And so protest is just kind of a part of how we do ministry.”

While saying he does not believe that the government created the AIDS virus to kill blacks, as Wright has said, professor R. L’Heureux Lewis of the City College of New York gave credence to the conspiracy theory by saying that he does “respect the right of some people to question the unfettered arrival of AIDS and HIV to the community and the ravishing effects it’s had.”

Responding to my Newsmax stories about Obama and Wright going back to Jan. 7, many blacks said whites could not understand what it means to be black.

“It is not a secret that black people were slaves and that we are still victims and suffering from slavery, a black woman from Inglewood, Calif., wrote. “The pastor is just expressing a reality that we black people are going through.”

In his speech on race, Obama implicitly condoned this backward-looking perspective.

“For the men and women of Reverend Wright’s generation, the memories of humiliation and doubt and fear have not gone away; nor has the anger and the bitterness of those years,” Obama said. "While the anger is not always productive," Obama continued, "[it is] real; it is powerful; and to simply wish it away, to condemn it without understanding its roots, only serves to widen the chasm of misunderstanding that exists between the races.”

Yet while Wright, 66, no doubt had brushes with discrimination growing up in Philadelphia, it was nothing compared with what Condoleezza Rice faced — or, for that matter, what six million Jews who were slaughtered by Adolf Hitler faced.

In contrast to Wright, who attended an integrated school, Rice grew up in segregated Birmingham, Ala. Denise McNair, one of Rice’s friends and classmates, was one of the four girls who was killed in the Ku Klux Klan bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church.

Rice's Unbridled Courage

Rice had to sit at the back of buses. When more whites got on, the driver would move a “Colored” sign farther back in the bus, making less room for blacks. Rice could not eat at the same restaurants as whites unless the restaurant had a separate room with a separate entrance for blacks.

She was not allowed to use the same drinking fountains or public restrooms as whites. But Condi Rice, a descendant of slaves and white slave owners, had something else going for her: Her middle-class black neighborhood had developed a culture separate from the rest of the city, one that shut out the racism all around and taught children they had to be “twice as good” to pull even with whites.

Instead of teaching Rice to carry a chip on her shoulder, as she has told me, Rice’s parents amplified those positive values, giving her a strong sense of self-worth.

Rice’s father, the Rev. John W. Rice Jr., instilled in his daughter the faith that she brought with her into the White House and the State Department.

While Rice is comfortable with her own heritage and often speaks before black groups, she does not dwell on the racism she experienced growing up. Above all, Rice is proud of America and the opportunities that everyone now has. Witness the fact that she is secretary of state.

What a contrast to the poisonous atmosphere at the church that Obama has chosen to attend for more than two decades and the demagoguery of the man he calls his friend, sounding board, and mentor.

Encouraging Failure

As my friend Fox News contributor Juan Williams told me after publication of his book “Enough: The Phony Leaders, Dead-End Movements, and Culture of Failure That Are Undermining Black America,” many black leaders orchestrate support for themselves by promoting victimhood, creating a black “culture of failure.”

That self-defeating attitude tells blacks, “You can’t help yourself; you can’t help your family; and therefore, all you can do is wait for the government to do something for you,” Williams says. “I think it is a message of weakness and ineffectual thinking that is absolutely crippling the poor and especially minorities in the United States.”

Sounding a similar theme in his book “Winning the Race: Beyond the Crisis in Black America,” black author John McWhorter calls the culture of victimhood “therapeutic alienation,” a form of self-medication that is “disconnected from current reality” and continues to hold blacks back.

To be sure, most largely black churches preach an uplifting message.

“As a pastor of a bi-racial church, I cannot accept that Wright’s way is the right way to do ‘black church,’ the Rev. Wally Shifflett, a minister from Charlotte, N.C., wrote to me. “Sen. Obama has been wrongly accused of being a Muslim — and why should that matter? We can hardly disqualify a candidate, offhandedly, because of his or her religion. But the senator’s continued participation in a church stoked with such anti-American rhetoric should no more be acceptable than if he openly supported one of the Islamic-extremist’s madrasses that teach their young to hate Americans. Is there any difference?”

The answer, of course, is no.

Both Islamic extremism and the black cult of victimhood generate support by conjuring up largely imaginary grievances and exploiting them.

The Rev. Otis Moss III, who recently took over from Wright at Trinity United Church of Christ, continued that theme on Sunday. Referring to the media’s belated exposure of Wright’s hate sermons. Moss said the church had been the victim of a “lynching.”

In contrast to the message of Obama’s church and its award to Louis Farrakhan for lifetime achievement, as one of its core values, Shifflett’s church adheres to inclusiveness: “Convinced that all people ever to be born have one common ancestor; and that God’s love for all people caused him to send the one Savior into the world to seek and save all people; we believe that he has reconciled all people to himself, and to one another.”

If Barack Obama were the unifier he claims to be, that is the kind of church he would attend and support with $22,500 in donations over a two-year period.

Instead of saying he understands where Wright and his “God damn America” are coming from and refusing to sever ties with him, if he really wanted to help blacks and further racial progress, he would denounce Wright’s message of hatred and the culture of victimhood that continues to undermine black society.

And if Obama were a leader who genuinely had the interests of all the country’s citizens at heart, he would be citing Condoleezza Rice as an example of what blacks can achieve in America.

Here is a picture that ran in National Geographic this month. It shows Nigerians who were turned back from Libya at the border when they went there looking for a better life.

What have you people done to help people like these, your soul brothers and sisters, in their hour of need? Nothing, that's what. You should take those flowery lines from your welcome page or actually do something for those people to whom you say you 'remain true.'

Barack Obama, you should run for the presidency of Nigeria, your native land, instead of the United States of America where the only people who still see you as black are you people, the HYPOCRTITES of the Trinity United Church of Christ!"

Obama is a man for all of us, right?
Obama told ABC in the interview he would never appear again on Imus’ show after Imus set off a firestorm of outrage when he called members of the women’s basketball team at Rutgers University “nappy-headed hos” on his popular morning talk show.
“He didn’t just cross the line,” Obama raged then. “He fed into some of the worst stereotypes that my two young daughters are having to deal with today in America.”
I guess "nappy headed hos" is much worse than "God Damn America."

Is Race An Issue?...

"Is race an issue?"
I just listened to a speech made by Barack Obama which was supposed to put to rest whatever qualms the people of America might have had about electing a black man to the office of the Presidency. He was expected to clear up any ideas we might have about how he felt about the racial and hateful statements made by his pastor, Jeremiah Wright, in the pastor's denigrations of America in general and white Americans in particular. He didn't do that.
Senator Obama rationalized away everything bad the pastor said about America and he (Obama) made excuses for all of it, even using his white grandmother as a comparison to the pastor.

There is a video link there that has a clip which shows a few admirable seconds of his speech but the complete text of the speech tells it like it is!
I do not want a president who thinks his job is to fix all the racial things in America. I want a president who wants to fix problems for all Americans without first examining how it will affect any particular minority.
Here is a quote from the text of his speech that says a lot:
"...The fact is that the comments that have been made and the issues that have surfaced over the last few weeks reflect the complexities of race in this country that we’ve never really worked through – a part of our union that we have yet to perfect..."
Excuse me, Senator, the remarks which were made by your minister reflected hatred for America and American white people! It's that simple and you trying to spin it away from that fact is an insult to the intelligence of all Americans!
I could not ever vote for a man who heard such hate filled sermons from his pastor for twenty years then, for his own convenience, dis-avowed that pastor and even lied about having ever heard one of those hateful speeches! (check my last post)

There, I've told it like it is! Was race an issue in this Wright/Obama problem? No it wasn't but, thanks to Barack Obamas' speech today, it is now!

What hypocrites are Pastor Wright, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan and all the rest of the African Americans (bite my tongue) who blame everyone else for their faults, shortcomings and stupidity.
I am a retired truck driver and have never been involved with slavery or etc., but even I, with only a tenth grade education, know that the first African slaves were sold to the white man by other Africans.
Hey, fellows, (African Americans only-not plain honest black Americans) your own people started the slave trade by selling other blacks to the Europeans for thirty pieces of silver! And you haven't changed much since then.
Pastor Wright has enslaved his congregation with his inflammatory hate American Whiteys rhetoric and Louis Farrakhan has enslaved his followers with his Nation of Islam bullshit. Those Farrakhan people are so stupid that they don't even know they are slaves to Islam, an ideology that 'keeps you or kills you.'
I'm gonna pass on the so called 'American Indian' here for the sake of expediency. They have, at least, progressed from running 10,000 bison over a cliff to get a piece of meat and a buffalo robe to fleecing the rest of us out of our hard earned money at their gambling casinos. (I couldn't run one in California because I ain't an Injun)
Hey, Rev Wright, Louie and the rest, I do not now nor have I ever owned a SLAVE (MY WIFE MIGHT DIS-AGREE) and I have never scalped an Indian.
I have never picketed a school to keep blacks out. I have never burned a black church or strung up a black.
I don't owe you nothing and I don't know anyone who does. You all should stop your whining and get a job and act like an adult American for a change!

Obama Minister's Hatred of America...

In a sermon delivered at Howard University, Barack Obama’s longtime minister, friend, and adviser blamed America for starting the AIDS virus, training professional killers, importing drugs, and creating a racist society that would never elect a black man as president.
The Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., pastor of Obama’s Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, gave the sermon at the school’s Andrew Rankin Memorial Chapel in Washington on Jan. 15, 2006. While snippets from the sermon have appeared in a few magazines, no news outlet has previously run the entire text of Wright’s diatribe. An audio recording of the sermon appears on YouTube.
Raising his voice in rage, Wright began his sermon by saying:
“Fact No. 1: We’ve got more black men in prison than there are in college. Racism is alive and well. Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run. No black man will ever be considered for president, no matter how hard you run Jesse [Jackson] and no black woman can ever be considered for anything outside what she can give with her body.”
Omitting fact No. 2, Wright thundered on:
“Fact No. 3: America is still the No. 1 killer in the world. We invaded Grenada for no other reason than to get Maurice Bishop [a Grenada revolutionary who seized power in 1979], invaded Panama because Noriega would not dance to our tune any more. We are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the exporting of guns, and the training of professional killers. We bombed Cambodia, Iraq and Nicaragua, killing women and children while trying to get public opinion turned against Castro and Qaddafi.”
Wright continued:
“Fact No. 4: We put [Nelson] Mandela in prison and supported apartheid the whole 27 years he was there. We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God.
Fact No. 5: We supported Zionism shamelessly while ignoring the Palestinians and branding anybody who spoke out against it as being anti-semitic.”
His voice rising, Wright was on a roll:
“Fact No. 6: We conducted radiation experiments on our own people. They’re just finding out about that. We care nothing about human life if the ends justifies the means.
Fact No. 7: We do not care if poor black and brown children cannot read and kill each other senselessly. We abandoned the cities back in the '60s when the riots started and it really doesn’t matter what those nations do to each other; we gave up on them and public education of poor people who live in the projects . . .”
Wright went on:
“Fact No. 8: We started the AIDS virus, and now that it is out of control, we still put more money in the military than in medicine; more money in hate than in humanitarian concerns. Everybody does not have access to healthcare, I don’t care what the rich white boys in the Senate say. Listen up: If you are poor, black and elderly, forget it.”
Concluding, Wright said:
“Fact No. 9: We are only able to maintain our level of living by making sure that Third World people live in grinding poverty.
And fact No. 10:
We are selfish, self-centered egotists who are arrogant and ignorant and betray our church and do not try to make the kingdom that Jesus talked about a reality. And — and — and in light of these 10 facts, God has got to be sick of this s***.”(Shit)
Meeting with Jewish leaders in Cleveland on Feb. 24, Obama described Wright as being like “an old uncle who sometimes will say things that I don't agree with.” He rarely mentions the items of disagreement.
Obama went on to explain away Wright’s anti-Zionist statements as being rooted in his anger over the Jewish state’s support for South Africa under its previous policy of apartheid. As with a previous claim that his church gave an award to Louis Farrakhan because of his work with ex-offenders, Obama made that up out of thin air.
Wright’s statements denouncing Israel have not been qualified in any way.
As for Wright’s repeated comments blaming America for the 9/11 attacks, Obama has said it sounds as if the minister was trying to be “provocative.”
Hearing Wright’s venomous and paranoid denunciations of this country, the vast majority of Americans would walk out. Instead, Obama and his wife Michelle have presumably sat through hundreds of similar sermons.
Indeed, Obama has described Wright as his “sounding board” during the two decades he has known him. Obama has said he found religion through Wright in the 1980s and consulted him before deciding to run for president. He prayed privately with Wright before announcing his candidacy last year.
Aside from showing poor judgment, it’s difficult to imagine that Obama could be so close to Wright without agreeing with at least some of his views.
In light of Wright’s perspective, Michelle Obama’s comment that she feels proud of America for the first time makes perfect sense. (In a second iteration, she said she feels “really proud” for the first time.) Wright’s blame-America mentality also fits in neatly with many on the left who support Obama’s weak approach to national security and dealing with foreign dictators.
To date, the Obama-loving media have largely ignored the senator’s close association with Wright. The question is whether the blackout will be lifted before voters decide whether they want to entrust Obama with America’s future.
