We Need Our Special Holiday...

I was checking out Juneteenth, the holiday of the day in June when the slaves were freed. That's been a while back but it means something special for black Americans who are descendants of slaves.

Now we white Americans need a special holiday like Juneteenth is for blacks. They have Juneteenth, Martin Luther King's Birthday and a few more. Whites commemorate some special days; Fourth of July, Christmas, Thanksgiving and some more but those are black holidays, too.

We whites need something special so we can riot, burn up cars and kill people as part of our celebration like blacks do! It doesn't seem fair but I guess, for now, we have to accept it. Maybe something special will come up later. Maybe a white basketball team will win a game or something. (yeah, right..) 'chuckle'
