'Cheney is Vice President for Torture'...

This claim is made by the former director of the Central Intelligence Agency, Stansfield Turner. If this is true, then the President, Vice President and Secretary of State Rice should all be dumped and prosecuted to the full extent of the law for lying and saying torture is not condoned by them.

If this charge is true, the former director must have proof of it. He must know where these centers of torture are and he should be able to prove his accusations.

On the other hand, if the former director is lying, he should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and immediately. Even if he is just mistaken, he should be prosecuted by the Justice Department for not checking out his 'facts.'.

Making false statements of this nature is very damaging to this country and presents a modicum, at least, of danger to our national security.

There is a limit to 'free speech', even according to our constitution. We can't yell 'fire' in a crowded theater and we shouldn't be able to make damaging accusations about our leaders without proof.

So, let's see this guy prove what he is accusing the Pres and VP of; intentionally lying to the citizens of this fine nation, the U S of A, and the rest of the world.

Oh yeah, and this little tidbit: "Admiral Turner's remarks were echoed by Republican Senator John McCain, himself a victim of torture in Vietnam."

I wonder what Senator McCain will have to say about this statement.

Later...

All I've heard Senator McCain say is that we as a country should not torture people because that makes us as like them.

I've never heard him accuse the P or VP of condoning torture.

We should pull his fingernails out till he fess's up
