Obama Doesn't Understand the 13th Amendment...or the Federal Government,-the 14th amendment...

How about it. Do you understand the thirteenth amendment? Here it is, verbatim: "Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

Now just what does it mean here? It could mean:

1. "...slavery..., except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall (not) exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

Or it could mean:

2. "Slavery...shall (not) exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction." and: ..."Involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall (not) exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

Yeah, I know! You say it's as plain as the nose on my face that it means number 2, but it isn't. The way amendment thirteen is written in the Constitution of the United States can be open to interpretation by anyone. You don't even have to be a scholar. It's a hell of a lot more open to interpretation than the roe-v-wade bullshit is. There is not even a hint of anything resembling the abortion law written into the constitution.

As far as I'm concerned (and I have as much right to interpret the constitution as anyone else) Barack Obama will be all right as long as he doesn't break the law and be convicted for it. If he is convicted of breaking a law, it's back to the cotton patch for him!

Now for the 14th amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.

It seems the government isn't sure what they should do about the US born children of illegal immigrants. 'Duh'--That's a toughie! "14th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America:

Section 1. "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

1."All persons born or naturalized in the United States... are citizens of the United States..."

Thus; Those American born children are US citizens,-period!

2. "No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States;..."

Thus; The paramount privilege of any American citizen is to live peacefully and securely within this, their country, the United States.

3. "...nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

Thus; All of those US born children of illegal immigrants have the right to have their parents with them to care for them until they are of legal adult age.

I hate it, folks, but we have to face it: in order to send back to Mexico (or where-ever)all illegal immigrants who have children born in this country (legal citizens) we'd have to amend the constitution. There is no question about this and we all know that's not going to happen.

The sensible alternative is; let them stay but each state pass a law that says English is our national language and all citizens must be fluent in our language and there will be NO SPECIAL MESSAGES ON PHONE CALLS, ETC, instructing people which button to push for English.

Allow a certain amount of time (a year) to learn this language and for those who don't learn it within that time period, sentence them to a year to:

1. Clean rest area toilets;

2. Pick up trash along roads and free-ways;

3. Clean gutters and sidewalks of large cities where people walk their dogs (Especially NYC);

4. And fight forest fires until they learn the language properly.

Each person will be tested annually to see if they have obeyed the law and learned our language. If they haven't, they get another year of the same.

I believe this is the only thing we can do without breaking the law or changing the constitution.

Now, Adios, Buenos Dias and Vaya con Dios to everyone!

Now let's all keep our eyes open in case Barack Obama gets arrested for littering or something. I know a store in Chowchilla, California that still sells 14 foot long cotton sacks, and at a discounted price!
