Rice: 'N Korea escalating crisis'...oops...

"US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has accused North Korea of wanting to escalate international tensions over its nuclear weapons programme."

'Oops'...escalate tension?...What about:

"N. Korean Leader Regrets Test..."

"North Korean leader Kim Jong Il expressed regret about his country's nuclear test to a Chinese delegation and said Pyongyang would return to international nuclear talks if Washington backs off a campaign to financially isolate the country, a South Korean newspaper reported Friday."

I don't know about you but that doesn't look like an 'escalation of tension' to me!...Read on...

The secretary of state was in Beijing on Friday, but she said the Chinese made no mention of Mr Kim agreeing to halt nuclear tests, despite giving her a "thorough" briefing on Mr Tang's visit to Pyongyang.

So Ms Rice was in China talking to the big guys there about Korea and other things. Check out this:

"I don't know whether or not Kim Jong-il said any such thing," Ms Rice told journalists accompanying her on a flight from Beijing to Moscow."

"Tang did not tell me that Kim Jong-il either apologised for the test or said that he would not ever test again," Ms Rice added.

Now what I want to know is, did Ms Rice specifically ask the Chinaman whether or not the President of Korea actually said what was reported he said; that he was sorry about the test and he would like to talk to us (and others) about the problem? She didn't say she'd asked about it and, if she didn't ask, why not?..hummm....Kinda makes you wonder, don't it? Do we want a peaceful resolution or what?

You know, we had a war with North Korea over fifty years ago and both the US and South Korea couldn't beat the people up north. I wonder if there might be some sour grapes involved here?

Here's one for you to mull over:
South Korea and the U S of A had a war we couldn't win with North Korea back in the 50s and since then things have been , maybe not 'pretty good', but at least, not too bad between all of us. There've been some cuss words back and forth every now and then but not much more. They wanted to stay commie and they did and the south didn't want to and they didn't! It's as simple as that.

Now, what I want to know is, why is it that this country refuses to treat North Korea like a real country now? Why does our president refuse to talk to the president of that country? I mean, the fight has been over for fifty odd years and the US still can't accept North Korea being a real nation, just like this one and South Korea.

We talk to Russia and we talk to Communist China and we talk to Japan and Germany, all nations with whom we have less than favorable histories. Maybe it's time to re-think things. Maybe it's time we stopped trying to 'build' nations; Iraq, for example. We don't even know whether it's the Sunnis or the Shiites we support there. What we should realize is, as long as that nation is Muslim, we're just spinning our wheels and losing American lives there for nothing.

Now, someone tell me why we still hate North Korea and refuse to treat that country like the rest of the world.

N. Korean Leader Regrets Test...(Hey, George...)

"North Korean leader Kim Jong Il expressed regret about his country's nuclear test to a Chinese delegation and said Pyongyang would return to international nuclear talks if Washington backs off a campaign to financially isolate the country, a South Korean newspaper reported Friday."

"If the U.S. makes a concession to some degree, we will also make a concession to some degree, whether it be bilateral talks or six-party talks," Kim was quoted as telling a Chinese envoy, the mass- circulation Chosun Ilbo reported, citing a diplomatic source in China.

OK, W, it's your call? Whatta ya say?

North Korea Threatens War Against U.S...

"North Korea Threatens War Against U.S."

"Nuclear test by North Korea unites world's leaders in condemnation..."

"Bush Calls for North Korea Sanctions..."

"China resists some N Korean sanctions..."

"Japan Is Set to Ban North Korean Ships..."

"N.Korea may have conducted another nuclear test..."

"US Doubts Test Was Nuclear..."

Is this last headlinewhat our President will use as an excuse to do nothing? I don't really want him to attack anyone but he needs to keep his mouth shut unless he is willing and able to back it up! He is talking like a paper tiger and NO ONE RESPECTS US ANYMORE.

It's your turn, Mr President, it's your call!

OPEC chief calls for immediate output cut; Group intent on stopping oil price fall...

Here we go again! Remember a year or so ago when the price of oil was 23 bucks a barrel? Then it climbed to almost four times that price without a word about it from our president. Now that it's dropping to around three times what it was, our friend, Saudi Arabia in collusion with our enemies, Venezuela and Iran, is acting to cut production of a million barrels a day to keep the price up to triple of what the fair price was a year ago.

"In addition, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and Iran, key members, are pushing the cartel to meet in Vienna next week to ratify the deal in order to make a public show of unity."
And what will our president do about it?

Probably keep furnishing aid and protection to all the nations who are charging us ridiculous prices for oil! What a disappointment George W. Bush is! I'll be glad when the next election is over and done with. Maybe we will have a leader who isn't a coward.

Yeah, I know, some of you are tired of hearing me whine about George Bush. Well, so am I. Sometimes I think I am just wasting my time worrying about this country and it's do nothing president and it's do nothing Republican congress. Maybe I am wasting my time. But it chaps my ass to see President George W. Bush and his all Republican Congress all just letting the pitiful OPEC nations take advantage of us; listening to the leaders of Venezuela and Iran tell the world what a creep Bush is and what nothing people we in the US are,-and getting not a word in response from President Bush!

And seeing the whole bunch allow Mexican illegals take over this country without much more than token resistance from Bush or congress.

It does chap my ass to see us sending our soldiers to their deaths defending those Muslim devils who in reality, want us along with all Israelis dead.

Where the hell is Ronald Reagan when we need him? Or John F. Kennedy or Harry Truman? George Bush and the Republican Congress and Senate have all proven what cowards they all are. And, to most of you who read this, what cowards we, too, are for not insisting they do what is right! John Kerry looks better all the time! (Bite my tongue!) Signed: Puking in Red Bluff!

Muslims are waging civil war against us, claims police union...

"Bush Reaches Out to Muslims"

UNITED NATIONS— "President Bush tried to quell anti-Americanism in the Middle East on Tuesday by assuring Muslims that he is not waging war against Islam, regardless of what "propaganda and conspiracy theories" they hear."

About the civil war mentioned: Bush should remember French President Jacques Chirac has already tried that with the Muslims. This is the result:

"Radical Muslims in France's housing estates are waging an undeclared "intifada" against the police, with violent clashes injuring an average of 14 officers each day."

Think that can't happen here? "American Muslims are too nice and patriotic to allow that in the good old U S of A!"
That's a load! That's what we used to say about terrorists attacking this country. Boy, did we learn a lesson!

Problem is, it ain't over yet. It's only beginning but some of us are too stupid to believe it. Bummer!

Rep. Foley Quits In Page Scandal...

What a Monster! Foley actually sent e-mails to a young boy asking for his picture. That is unforgivable!

Top 10 Democrat Sex Scandals in Congress

Information compiled from the Washington Post, “Congressional Sex Scandals in History,” and other sources.

10. Sen. Daniel Inouye. The 82-year-old Hawaii Democrat was accused in the 1990s by numerous women of sexual harassment. Democrats cast doubt on the allegations and the Senate Ethics Committee dropped its investigation.

9. Former Rep. Gus Savage. The Illinois Democrat was accused of fondling a Peace Corps volunteer in 1989 while on a trip to Africa. The House Ethics Committee decided against disciplinary action in 1990.

8. Rep. Barney Frank. The outspoken Massachusetts Democrat hired a male prostitute who ran a prostitution service from Frank’s residence in the 1980s. Only two Democrats in the House of Representatives voted to censure him in 1990.

7. Former Sen. Brock Adams. The late Washington Democrat was forced to stop campaigning after numerous accusations of drugging, assault and rape, the first surfacing in 1988.

6. Former Rep. Fred Richmond. This New York Democrat was arrested in 1978 for soliciting sex from a 16-year-old. He remained in Congress and won re-election—before eventually resigning in 1982 after pleading guilty to tax evasion and drug possession.

5. Former Rep. John Young. The late Texas Democrat increased the salary of a staffer after she gave in to his sexual advances. The congressman won re-election in 1976 but lost two years later.

4. Former Rep. Wayne Hays. The late Ohio Democrat hired an unqualified secretary reportedly for sexual acts. Although he resigned from Congress, the Democratic House leadership stalled in removing him from the Administration Committee in 1976.

3. Former Rep. Gerry Studds. He was censured for sexual relationship with underage male page in 1983. Massachusetts voters returned him to office for six more terms.

2. Former Rep. Mel Reynolds. The Illinois Democrat was convicted of 12 counts of sexual assault with a 16-year-old. President Bill Clinton pardoned him before leaving office.

1. Sen. Teddy Kennedy. The liberal Massachusetts senator testified in defense of nephew accused of rape, invoking his family history to win over the jury in 1991.

Oh, I almost forgot: President Bill Clinton sexually harrassed several women while in DC and used Monica Lowenski as his whore and, when he was in Arkansas, he raped a woman forcibly. Everyone knows this (just like OJ) but these people are Democrats so it doesn't count. Go figure.

And don't forget about the Dem Rep from Ca who killed a page (or sec) he was screwing (his wife still loved him anyhow)and is still running loose. (I have to state that as an opinion even tho' I'm sure it's true)
